  • Welcome back!

We decided to spruce things up and fix some things under the hood. If you notice any issues, feel free to contact us as we're sure there are a few things here or there that we might have missed in our upgrade.

Yes, I have officially lost my mind!

I am seriously contemplating another English Mastiff. I have always wanted a play mate for Ruger but because I rent and because I take him to work everyday with me, I have waited. I have just been given permission to work 4 out of 5 days at home permanently and my lanlord has no issue at all with my having another dog and I can't find any other reason not to get another one.

I still want and intend to own a Fila but I will not do that until I move out to my property because I don't feel that I am in the right location for a Fila at this point.

I think I will start looking around and if I happen upon something that feels right, I will go for it.

Unless of course all of you can save me from my own insanity and remind me why I shouldn't be doing this. LMAO

I know, Right? LOL He does wonderful with puppies and baby animals but doesn't like small full grown dogs and he pees on them. LOL He loves to play with other dogs and seems to be able to tell when they are "babies".

Sounds like the perfect situation to add a new pup-- you know the ropes by now, lol.

Would you consider the same breeder? And a female, I assume?

I have just about decided that I will be adding a pup. Yeah, I know the ropes and I know that it is a big task especially since Ruger is still a pup himself but I have a feeling that a pup would be great for both of us! :) The mere thought is so exciting! No, I won't be using the same breeder and I am looking for a male. I am not a big fan of female dogs.

Haha-- I have to agree about the female dog thing; mine will always be males. Actually, I just remembered you had several male dogs (intact) living together before. Yeah, you're ready! Can't wait to hear more about your plans. :)

My motto's always been "the more the merrier" when it comes to animals.....so I say go for it!

I understand! I have two horses, a cat, four chickens and now two dogs. I had thought of getting Cruiser a play mate, then Harley just showed up and we ended up keeping him. At first all was well, now not so much. We are now having fights over who is going to lay on the couch, which by the way is large enough for both. The fights are getting pretty extreme and it is the little dog that has the issue. Life was quieter and easier with just one! A pup though, will be easier to acclamate into your routine!

I am sorry to hear that you are having issues, Rob. As much as I believe in rescuing, that is one of the reasons that I always get mine as puppies......I know that doesn't mean it will work but it certainly offers more of an opportunity to work. I have been able to have 4 intact male APBT's living in one house without any issue but I tried to rescue a girl one time and I just couldn't get the pack to accept her. Also, I am pretty serious about raising mine from the beginning as I have 3 grandchildren and I need to "know" my dogs. I hope your boys begin to work it out soon. Keep us updated. :)

LOL!! Atleast I'm not the only crazy one here! I've actually thought about getting another EM pup myself from my breeder as they are attempting another litter this year! This would allow Venti to have a good playmate instead rough housing with our BT (she gives it back though too). I am in the process of looking for a house, that's the only thing holding me back right now!! I'm not really sure what I'd get though...a female or male? There's gotta be a pill for this kind of crazy! haha. :D Let us know what you decide!! How are you going to fit two EM's under your desk though? haha
