Pass this on, especially if you have a dog that fits the description.

I agree its an awesome idea, we have a group called Active Adventure dogs, owners and their dogs go on walks, hikes and activities and the guy who leads it is a trainer and he employs this. Dogs that are anxious or aggressive or just not quite social yet wear yellow bandannas and so all other owners and dogs give the yellow wearer a wide berth and no approuching that dog unless permission is granted from the owner. Its the only time I've seen this done though. I wish regular strangers would do this so we know whether to cross the street or step off the path. Though I guess a simple "Is your dog friendly?" would suffice.

yea great idea, but yellow ribbons only make dogs cuter. LOL Hence inviting even more naive people to approach. I have to say while a dog show the last few days, young kids are really good about naturally keeping their distance. It's the older people that come up and get in your dogs face and don't respect it's space. Lucky for them, my EM is a lover.

I've actually thought about getting something for Lincoln that says, "Yes I'm friendly, no need to cross to the other side of the street."

Wouldn't it be great if people would actually abide by this. It is a great idea, though.
The idea is to get the word out among the dog community so that people will be aware & abide/respect. The more it's passed on, the more useful it will become.
