Yeast questions

for someone else, not me!

The dog has had off and on skin yeast infections apparently for some time. They've tried a variety of foods, going grain free helped, but not totally (I'm highly suggesting no potatoes either). At this time assume going raw isn't an option please. Tried steroids and antibiotics....

I remember no sugar, so no yogurt (probiotics instead!), no peanut butter, no human foods execpt for plain meat. Suggestions on how to cope?!

Yah I know, but not someone I know personally, a friend of a friend basically, which makes convincing of raw diet's benefits difficult......

If possible stay clear of antibiotics also. Cane has been raw for a 1 1/2 years and we still battle yeast. Once it takes hold it is hard to get rid of completely.

The question here is, the body is out of balance, Why? Antibiotics, diet or an underlying condition.

Based on the discussion I suspect a seasonal allergy, in combination with a possible mild food allergy. Switching food has come up, and will likely be followed up on, going grain free last year apparently helped ALOT all by itself. The antibiotics aren't helping and the steroids only breifly.
