Put him back on rice and boiled burger to give him a break from the squirts..... 12 hours later, his poop has firmed up some but the regurgitation started again. :(

My yard looks like a mine field.... my little dog has poop stains on her feet and the outside tap is frozen solid. LOL

Good to hear that his poop is normalizing. Sorry to hear about regurgitation has started again. Have you tried feeding him small amounts?

Titan just finished with a bout of diarrhea. I live in an apartment and we were outside every 2-3 hours. The common area in the complex looks like a mine field. I picked it up as best I could but mine field it is.

I've looked at those sites and none of it fits Xerxes. Vet checked him over and found nothing wrong.
He doesn't drool, doesn't act differently, doesn't act like it's a big deal when it happens. Just drops his head and leaves a small amount of his food and water on the floor. And then walks away like nothing happened.

And on the 50/50 mix of new food, all regurgitation stopped but the squirts began. Used bland to get that under control and the regurg restarted. So I really think it's food related. Just can't win right now. LOL It's going to come from either end, guess I have to decide which one is easier to put up with.

rdryan, not to be a doomie, but just last week a Boerboel owner was going through what Xerxes is doing. She got a new vet and finally did some X-Rays and blood work and found the dog had lymphoma and a tumor that caused megasophagus. I hope none of this is what you guys are going through but maybe you should look into it.

The vet did say if we couldn't get it solved with a change of food that further testing would be needed. :(

He went quite a few days without regurgitating on the 50/50 new food. Just has the squirts like a mad man. So I am hoping once he is 100% on the new food that both issues will resolve.

Gave him his regular dinner of 50/50 food with water on it to slow him down and no regurgitation since. So I guess what I am left with is dealing with the squirts until he is totally on the new food and hope once he is used to the new food that his ass end dries up. We are supposed to have a batch of warmer days coming, so at least the clean up will be easier being able to use a garden hose instead of trying to shovel it. LOL
