  • Welcome back!

We decided to spruce things up and fix some things under the hood. If you notice any issues, feel free to contact us as we're sure there are a few things here or there that we might have missed in our upgrade.

With winter about to set in, we bought little Sid a coat...put it on him and Tali went completely RED ZONE on him! Out of nowhere! It took all my strength to pull her off him, and she punctured him on the leg before I succeeded. That was scary! I think she didn't know it was him when he had it on, but still....what the holy hell!!! Figure I'll put it over her, and sleep with it in the bed with her so she'll get to know it. As soon as it was off she was fine with him again, but the poor little dude did nothing to deserve that attack!

aw poor guy. let us know how she reacts to the coat on her. this eminds me of a few years ago, i tied a bandana around Jovos neck when we went to visit my brother. his male greyhound wouldnt leave him alone, chasing him around and biting at his neck. i took it off cus he just didnt like it. always wondered what the issue was.

Was it fresh from the store? I know my dogs will attempt to shred new blankets and the like untill we wash them, something about the "new" smell....

There's every probability it smelled like other dogs from being in the store, and the hood had fake fur around the edge. We were in our own living room when the attack happened, but she and I had been outside while the coat was being put on Sid by hubby....so to her it probably looked and smelled like an unannounced stranger in her house. Zipped that hood part off as that seemed to be her main focal point when shown the coat again. Waited until she was really relaxed and sleeping and she definitely had issues with it, but got her to sleep with it over her. Not sure when it will be safe to try it on Sid again....maybe when we're not at home and have them on leashes?

Definetly leashes, and make sure she can see you putting it on him.

I'd definetly wash it and then do things like rubbing it all over both dogs and the like.

It's getting worse instead of better. I'm really getting concerned that she is going to seriously hurt him. About once a day for the past 5 days she goes off on him. My observation is that it mostly happens when they've been separated for a short period of time, and it's something in his body language that gets the ball rolling. By today I thought that if they were both muzzled at least they couldn't actually bite each other.....BAD plan as she still tried to stomp him into dust. This is NOT good! I don't want to re-home either of them, but I also don't want one dog to kill the other. ALL suggestions welcome!

Did you bath Sid, I would, see if that helps..... You don't know what or who had that coat on & the smell could still be on your dog....
