So my 3 year old grandson Connor came up this past week end for a quick visit. When he is here, Sophie takes on the responsibility of keeping an eye on him. Connor goes 5 steps, so does Sophie.

I used to think it was instinctive guardian behavior, but when I discovered there were jelly beans involved...:)IMG_0924.JPG

How cute. It may still be instinctive guarding behavior and the jellybeans are just an awesome added bonus. I have 4 grandkids and everyone is at my house on Sundays and Ruger looks after all of them but he is very bonded to my grandosn, Brenden who is 6 years old now but was 4 when I brought Ruger home as a baby.

Ruger breaths my air......He takes every step that I take. He sits with me, lays with me, walks with........You get the idea. The only time that this changes is when Brenden is here...Brenden is his boy and he watches him closely and follows him whereever he goes and has since the beginning.

There is no doubt in my mind that at some points there are jelly beans or other yummy stuff involved but with or without....He is with him. :)
