Never having owned a male puppy, I don't know what is normal. Male dogs are pretty obvious so I know what 'they' should look like, and my 5 mo old does not look like most. At what age should his parts drop? They are very small still, almost the size of a prune but when he lays on his back it looks like they just havent dropped. Is this normal for his breed/age or should I be concerned?

Hard to see at this angle but the white line shows where the other lump is. And you can see how small, as another poster called it his "coin purse" is

it seems like they are both there, just extremely small. or as if one dropped and the other didnt? guess I need to get a little more personal with him to know for sure! lol!

I guess you do ;) It is possible that one hasn't dropped yet, and you'd want to monitor that, so you need to know for sure...

Ask him to turn his head and cough too. Might as well kill two birds here!

LOL! as I mentioned, I've never as an adult owned a male dog. His size is so deceiving too! Hard to look at him as just a 5 1/2 mo puppy at close to 80lbs!

I think this is what you are seeing...........
The "Dog's Knot", or medically termed as the Bulbus Glandis is a tissue in the structure of canine animal's penis'. When the dog mates, this tissue swells in order to sort of "latch" on to the female dog to prevent his penis from slipping out of her.
