When do they slow down?? Or do they??

I will wait on the "leash in the house" for now...you're right that would be unfair to him when he's not being a bad puppy and just being...well a puppy!! Thanks!!
Personally, I wouldn't go the "leash on in the house" rule at this point. It sounds to me that you have a super energized pup and just need to find some ways to wear him out and if that is the case, the leash in the house will be rather unfair and futile. For behavioral issues, I love the house leash but IMO you just need to get creative to wear Mr. Energy down a bit. :)

You can also attach a piece of animal hide on the end to make it even more exciting! Check out furs for lures on facebook. They have buffalo, raccoon, coyote, rabbit ears etc.

LMAO "torch tied to his butt"!! I actually love his energy I just wish he would slow down a little bit sometimes. I'm going to start exercising him more and hope that helps. Thanks
My first male Corso finally stopped acting like a kid and slowed down at 10 when he came down with Cancer. He got 3 mile a day walks, My current 2 year old Male has tons of energy and I hope he never slows down. Each is different. The 2 year old will run and play, go for walks, but once inside, he is terrific. The old one used to run in the house for a few minutes like he had a torch tied to his butt.

Thanks those are some great ideas...I will be sure to try them!!
In my puppy obedience class, one owner of a Lab, asked what is the best way to tire out my dog so it will do less of what you are saying your Corso does to a factor of 10. He told her you can't. Even if you could, then your are just getting them in better shape, and more able to do what ever you did longer next time.
He then said something I found very interesting. "puppy push-ups." You need to mentally tire them out, not physically tire them out. For the lab, puppy-push ups is his recommendation. Sit, Down, Sit, Down..... over and over.
If your Corso is anything like mine, that only lasts so long. I have him stay. I hide prizes, and then have him find them. I practice new commands, and so on. I wish I had known this when I had Labs. I can see it in Leo. His mind reaches a limit, and then he just wants to crash. Usually about 15 minutes of intense training. If I were outside running him, he could last an hour easy.

Thanks I didn't know that!! I will definitely check that out...with my luck he will catch it, take it from me and won't give it back or just drag me around the yard till I let go of it!! LMAO!!

I got a chase pole and my girls love it. My doberman is 110% 24/7 but my cane corso is super laid back. There like night and day difference.

I'm glad you said that...made me start thinking...they both love playing with what the other has so I guess i'll have to play with one at a time. Right now they have 2 kong toys(a bone and a tower)and as soon as one drops their toy the other one picks it up and chews on it for a while. Titan is notorious for waiting on Corelina to drop what she has so he can have it for a while...they never really fight about it so I just let them keep playing.

I had 2 Akitas for 13 years and they were the same as your Titan and would wait until other dropped anything and the other would grab it up like they were getting away with something...to funny. Yeah i cant play with both girls at same time with chase pole yet as my dobie is 2 big and rough with my cane corso girl Mona, shes only 7 months old.

Well Titan is 101pds and Corelina is 90pds, but she is his mother and will still put him in his place when she feels the need!! LOL I sat and watched them this morning when I let them out for a while in their pen and she pinned him down countless times(just playing)and all I could do was laugh at him...Big Baby!! He would basically roll over when she cornered him and just paw at her!! LOL They are hilarious when they play...I laugh my butt off when he steals her toy because she just looks at him like "I was done with it anyway"!! LOL

Our beloved and insane 13 month old, recently got sick and was totally lethargic for two days. She is now well, and my husband I are thrilled that she is running around and creating massive chaos again! Gotta love 'em.

We just had our first floor Oak Floors sanded and resealed. What a job. Had to spend the night in a hotel after the second coat of Swedish Urathane was applied. Only way to keep them from scrating and gouging the wood is to keep them off of it. I just call the floors rustic!

Love the flirt pole for tiring them out, we also play hide and seek in the house to tire them out, puppy push ups are great (we use stand in there too as our dogs need to know stand for the vets and such anyway).

My girls have been helping out too as they now think it is great to walk the dogs (2 and almost 4 in age) so we put collars and leashes on the dogs and then can often times spend big chunks of time just walking the dogs around in the house :)

It's great that your kids can help walk them...I don't have any kids of my own but I have 7 nieces and nephews that visit from time to time but I can't trust 100% that my 2 babies wouldn't take off running if a neighbors dog, squirrel or visitor showed up and one of the kids had a leash in their hand. I'm really looking forward to getting my flirt pole...I'm sure they will have a blast playing with it!!
