What's the best food for a cane corso?

Hi all. My 8.5 week old puppy is finally coming tomorrow. I've bought her Dick Van Pattens Natural Balance Ultra Premium and wanted to know if this food is good and safe for a cane corso. I've seen great ratings for this product, but would like to get more feedback and other recommendation. Does anyone have any ideas on a product or supplements for the food? Also, if anyone has had any good or bad experiences with this brand that would be great to know.

I asked this question last week and got some good feedback. "Dog food-so many choices" was the thread. The best advice was to ensure the calcium levels are 1.2-1.8. You dont want a young pup to get to big over night. I went with acana grain free food.
dogfoodanalysis.com and dogfood advisor were very helpfull.

As a side note-Delmonte foods recently purchased Dick Van Patten's pet food business. Delmonte pet foods are not highly rated-Kibbles n Bits, Gravy train. Not sure if they will try to mass produce DVP, or if they are trying to get better pet food lines.

We feed both of our girls Earthborn Great Plains Feast and they love it!! It is a great grain free formula, highly rated and has the right amount of calcium and phosphorus that your pup will need.

Same here. Bella is now 8 1/2 months old, and I have been very happy with the Earthborn.

The only thing I will add is that during my research, I found that Acana and Origen were both rated "fit for human consumption", meaning the raw materials used in producing the kibble may be eaten by humans. Not that I will be eating it, but it made me feel better that I could :) It speaks to the overall quality of the food imo.
