What is the girth of an adult CC?

I have a male CC puppy, 5 months, and am curious what his girth will be when full grown. If anyone can tell me the girth of their CC and it's weight. If you know the size of its belly girth that would be great as well. I'm looking for a harness and backpack that he will be able to grow into. I would like to get him used to wearing it now (with no weight). I am looking at the Ray Allen signature K9 harness. Its a harness that you can attach a pack too.

depends on your dogs lines and his growth. No one can tell you what your pup will be full grown. Dogs size depends on genetics, some have deeper chests. I personally would wait and see

I'm not looking for an exact size, but what is typical for a male. There is alot of adjustment in the harness. I'm curious more then anything. The breed standard for CC's doesn't mention chest girth. I know on other mastiff breeds its atleast 133% of the height

I would get him a harness now that he can get used to and then buy the nice one when you have a better idea how he is filling out. Most harnesses have a pretty good amount of adjustability, though I'm not familiar with the particular one you mentioned. Point being while he is young and you aren't going to load him down anyway, the harness is just for training and doesn't need to be the same one you will use at adulthood.

Sometimes the breeds take a while to mature so you might not get a full idea of his girth for 2 to 3 years or so, especially if his lines are slower to mature. I would go with a cheaper one for now and let him grow into that one and get used to the back pack and harness and then when he matures get him the one that you like. Even in one litter the chest girth, neck size, etc. can vary.
