What do you all think about the American bully?

The dogs in the vid you posted looks more like a swinford bandog. I don't know his pedigree and was just doing an eyeball test. None of these dogs in this photo look like the dog in your youtube vid.

Not the video, look at the pictures i posted in my first post that i made. Those don't look anything like Bandogges, they are too short too be bandogges. Look at them they look like purebred pitbulls with added weight. I'm sure they are mixed with other breeds, but aren't classified as a bandog. Look at the Picture i posted about the different bully types, the sites i mentioned were all about the xl and classic.

[h=2]American Bully[/h] Classic Classic
This is an amendment to the basic standard which a Classic Bully is determined by its body structure and build. Both sex dogs with lighter body frames and less overall body mass, but still exhibiting “bully” traits.Example of Bully Traits – Blocky/heavy heads; short/square muzzles; heavier bone, muscle, and compact body. Overall more bone and substance than the modern and more “terrier type” American Pit Bull Terrier and American Stafffordshire Terrier.Classic Bully to give the appearance of bullier, old style American Pit Bull Terriers and/or American Stafffordshire Terrier, which made up the origin of the American Bully.Classic Bully variety is simply an American Bully dog having lighter body frames (lighter bone) and less overall body mass (less substance) than the Standard American Bully. Aside from this difference, the Classic Bully variety follows the same standard as the Standard American Bully.Males under 17″ – 20″ at the withers. Females under 16″ – 19″ at the withers.

[h=2]American Bully[/h] XL XL Bully
This is an amendment to the basic standard which a XL Bully is determined by its adult height.Males over 20″ – 23″ at the withers. Females over 19″ – 22″ at the withers.XL Bully variety is simply taller than the Standard American Bully. Aside from this difference, the XL Bully variety exhibits the same breed type and follows the same standard as the Standard American Bully with only the exception as listed below:-Lips- semi close and even, some looseness accepted (more so with the XL and Extreme varieties) but not preferred.-Neck – Some looseness of skin is accepted with the XL and Extreme varieties.-Back – Slightly higher rears accepted for XL and Extreme varieties.-Hindquarters – Hocks slight turned out accepted in the XL and Extreme varieties.

This is often how they look, very large but very well put together overall. The Xl's have the size, the classics are much lighter versions but look much more active.

Still they look to be a bandog breed. They are crossing standard set bully dogs with other type to create something new= bandog or mixed breed. Have they been recognized by AKC or any other breed org yet? BTW the standard is the best. These others just look like some stupid body builder on ROIDS! What is the purpose of this breed, companion, hog, working or sport? Original Bully dogs had a purpose, bull biters, ratters, (uhg) dog fighting. Full Bandogs Mastiff X Bully X (whatever) are bred with a specific purpose like farm dog, catch dog or chase dog etc...

Ok I took a good look at the first pics and none of those dogs look like APBT. Real APBT are lean and more stringy, hound like. APBT are not known to be blocky looking. The dogs in the picture look more like Amstaff mutants on steroids.

Here is a video of the difference between APBT and Amstaff (Pay very close attention to the to the ADBA dogs which are true APBT, the superior dog)

That's why i like the American bully, they look like Pitbulls but they are massive and i've heard they are taking the gameness out of em, they seem like large bullies with a sound temperament, but still have that dominant personality.

I would also echo, i seriously doubt steriods have been involved in the photo's shown at beginning of this thread of American Bull Mastiffs.
I work my dogs, and have had steroid taking appearance by end of walks. They really do have excellent bodies structure, and bulk up when worked daily.
Resistance training: used by those that like that gym junkie look in their dogs. Resistance training is using weight, and these dogs love to pull/drag heavy objects about. I have a massive log, that my friends likes to drag toward us. Its the same size as the dog, but he'll keep going, till eventually he's 'fetched' it for her.
And you begin to see why its so ripped looking!

We had a Staffie/Lab cross. He was an amazing dog. When we got our Lab, I thought maybe the personality that we loved so much was from the Staffie. Turns out I was wrong... It was the Staffie.

A bandog is a mix done for a specific job yea? Not a look but a job. Mixing anything for any reason other then work is making a mutt. Dont matter what they call them. If they are taking anything out of a breed they are ruining the breed. If you want a diff temp you buy a diff breed. You dont water down a breed.

These dogs are pulling weight and still have lean natural muscles.

I know i love American bulldogs but i just don't like the fact that they aren't Pitbulls. I don't know i feel attracted to the Bullies i love em. The Corso and the bully are the breeds i'm really interested in. As well as Am staffs.
