Vacation

We went on a camping vacation for a week. It was a long drive and Jake was such a trooper the whole time, 10 hours the first day and 7 hours the second (same on the way home). We went to Kitimat BC which is right on the coast. He loved the river because he could load up on water to pee on all the big trees. Here are a couple of pictures from our vacation.

Very nice! Hey my one daughter just moved to a little town just out side of Calgary, Chestermere. They love taking Molly their mix boarder collie camping up to Jasper ...I'll have to let them know about this place.

We drove through Jasper on our way to Kitimat (it was a good 16 hour drive from Calgary), I haven't been through Jasper since I was a kid and it's still as beautiful as I remember.
Let your daughter know that if she's looking for a fantastic veterinary clinic to go to the Animal Care Centre of Strathmore, it's about 10 minutes up the highway from Chestermere, right on the highway before you enter the town. They are amazing there!

I went threw Jasper 10 years ago when I was visiting family in BC and Alberta. I would love to go back again to explore instead of just passing threw. Maybe in a year or 2 I’ll have my healthsnd my finances back enough to do that. I had to dip into my savings to cover me while I was off work. Now I need to build that back up again. lol I’m such a penny pincher

Whew, those are long travel days!
But looks like it was totally worth it. Beautiful Spot, and looks like Jake was enjoying the scenery, too.

My lab would have been "in the water" swimming around by my feet while I tried to fish. Mr. Chev would have been in water too deep for his front legs, but with his back legs still on "terra firma". What a pair of pups...and what a great vacation !!

So good to hear that Jake is fulfilling his bucket list...camping, fishing, big trees for big dogs...mom and dad, sunshine and happy days. I hope you have many more trips and adventures this year.
