Tiny Mastiff girl. 5 pounds at 8 weeks

She is very cute, has managed to find a nice soft landing with her new family.
Im sure she's going to be fine now :)

And if parents were small, then pups should be too. Small for mastiff is still going to be MASSIVE to non large dog owners.
she's worm free, health checked, on food fit for a queen. Stop worrying, and enjoy her tinyness whilst it lasts!

I did meet the parents and I pretty sure after looking at pictures of other dogs that they were bull mastiffs. That would fit the parents size also. They were very muscular and dad had a huge head.

tbh they could have got a litter of puppies, and told people their own dog's are the parent's, unless you actually googled what a bullmastiff puppy looks like, and compared pictures... You can't be sure she is purebred sorry but you may have been duped. I found this picture online Bullmastiff x golden retriever. I suggest you go climb their fence and take a picture of their dog's or something, if they don't let you physically do it. She could just be a runt, but 5 pounds at 8 weeks is very small, that's somewhere near a small-medium breeds weight,my golden retriever was about 12 pounds at 8 weeks, he's now 73. Only time will tell but because of her coloring i'm pretty sure she either has some mastiff, or is just a mini mastiff, don't take my words truthfully though, i could be totally wrong.

She has the coloring of a Bullmastiff puppy, but in reality i'm betting she is gonna have a growth spurt and we're all gonna be wrong.

She may be a Bull Mastiff. She definitely looks like mastiff to me. Either way, she is beautiful and I can't wait to watch her grow. :)

Well I met the owners and honestly I don't think they were smart enough to pull a switch on the parents. She doest have the coloring of mom(light fawn) but has dads color. I think they were very under nourished as all pups were in same body condition. I noticed today that her leg bones are really thickening up as well as the feet are getting bigger. Time will tell. We got her for a pet to love no matter what she is!!!

Years ago, i rescued a pitbull whi along with her litter had been found in a dumpater at a gueastimated 6 weeks. I took her at 8 weeks to my vwt, she was full of worms and extremwlwy emaciated. After having her for 2 weeks, I noticed her limbs were angling weird. Took her bak to the vet who gasped...she had her full set of adult teeth, with her canines just.coming in....her limb deformity was rickets. Vet assumed she was kept in a basement or shed and had no sun exposure. So while I thought I had a malnourished 10 week old PB pup, I actually had one exyremwly malnoutiahed pit who was.closer.to 6 months and only 12lbs...so severe malnoutrition really.can.stunt growth.exponontially. She was always a T-cup pitty..full grown, only.25lbs..with.a HUGe head...she looked like.a caricuture but was one of the beat.dogs I ever ownes.

I have a tiny Mastiff as well he was the runt of the litter and came home at 8 weeks at 5.5 lbs I met the parents and they were both english mastiffs mom was 160 lbs and dad was 200 lbs. Our little fella Rohan was much smaller than his brothers/sisters they went home between 15-23lbs(no wonder he didn't get any food). He has been cleared by the vet and is healthy but small(probably won't be as big as his parents according to the vet) He also needed an additional worming which has helped. he is now 15lbs at 11 weeks and growing quickly. We just made a transition to Acana Pacficica which he seems to enjoy alot more than the food he was on! Just wanted you to know you aren't alone with the tiny mastiffs ;)

She was cleared of worms, and her little potbelly has gone away now that she put a little weight on. She is an active happy girl. I will just enjoy her being small for now as it probably won't last long.

Rohan, that's a great name. :D

You should see the picture of my Mayzee with her litter mate, another female. Let's see if I can find it...

Exactly happy and healthy are good enough for me! And thanks lizzy_troy my wife picked it out actually! I just wanted you to know you aren't alone I was very intimidated when I first started Looking at these post because he is just so small compared to some of the other pups! I was fixated on his weight for the first week until my wife (right as usual) told me to just let him be the puppy he is not the puppy I want him to be!
