Don't be too upset yet. Heartworms are very treatable. Did they say if she is high positive or low positive?

Thank you everyone:) I would love to hear if any of the vets on here have seen this before. I may start a new post to inquire about heartworm Tx and hear BTDT experiences, this is all new and scary for me.

I am very happy to hopefully be on the road to a full recovery. But I'm devastated to have only found it after 8 months(!) of blood work and tests. Including 3 HW tests and probably 5-6 CBC's! I would like to think it's still early because of this but there is definitely something going on with her lungs from the X-ray findings. Whether it's due to long term heartworm disease or something more remains to be seen. I pray this is it for her and next fall will be a new start to good health:)
