  • Welcome back!

We decided to spruce things up and fix some things under the hood. If you notice any issues, feel free to contact us as we're sure there are a few things here or there that we might have missed in our upgrade.

This is why I hate people

I have been a bit out of the loop lately so I missed this thread entirely until today. I am so sorry to hear that Ally had to be put through such an ordeal and hope that she feels better very soon. At the risk of sounding blustery, I will say that I do wish that I had been there and I would have absolutely knocked the shit out of this obvious coward! People like this, are pathetic....Wasn't his dog, he probably didn't even know exactly what happened but cowards are like that.....Jump in where they can pretend to be tough ....Disgusting. For all of my adult years (Prior to Ruger) I have owned APBT's and I have found myself in several situations throughout that time, that I have proven (not just with my own dogs) that behaviour of that sort will not be tolerated. Hopefully Karma will do its job but being a realist and a believer of an eye for an eye.......I wish I could have been there to save Karma the time and the trouble. Ally is in my thoughts.

That is a cute picture and I suppose there are some that are truly able to back it up.

If my opinions are not well received then so be it. I just don't advocate violence via the internet.....that includes implying it through whatever medium you choose. Let me be clear in this, defending the weak, innocent or defenseless (in my opinion) is not advocating violence. But what has been said in this thread about "what you would do..." is nothing more than talk.

We both know you can type or say whatever you want but until you put your money where your mouth is then all its just a bunch of words. Nothing more. Dare I say that when confronted with the situation that the OP stated the majority of people would have acted the same way. All this internet bravado sounds great but we weren't there, the stress wasn't high, adrenaline flowing and were not faced with the prospect of a man saying he was going to get his gun.

So it is bluster

Charger02,

It has taken me years, decades even to become a leass reactional person than I was. I have spoken from behind a keyboard many times and have had the opportunity to back up my big mouth in person. This day I am 5'10 235LB some is chunk but believe me when I say I can punch a full fridge right off it's feet and onto it's side with one hit (I've done it).
Had I been at that event and been close to that attack I would have indeed spent a few days in jail. No man means as much to me as my dogs and few mean as much to me as your dogs. Don't think I am blowing smoke around I am the type to bring the fire and rage from above and below when it comes to animal safety.
I hope Ally is doing well and I also hate retractable leashes.

Ok so just asking this out of curiosity, please don't take this as me starting a fight.

Which leash would you guys, the ones that are completely anti-flexi, recommend for a 5 lb dog that must wear a harness on walks due to pressure on her neck causing her to gag, choke & go into rages where she reverse sneezes so bad you'd swear she's going to die. A collar of any type that goes around her neck is just not acceptable on walks. A 6 ft thin lead almost always causes the same reaction as there are times on a walk that she will pull. She does not know a heel command HOWEVER, she will hang back & come directly to my side when she sees another dog or person approach. That's something she's always done, I just praised the behavior as she was never running up to other people/dogs to check them out. Whenever she's on a flexi it's like she knows. She knows not to stretch to the end of the line unless I allow her to & unless there are not other dogs or people within range. Overall we have less breathing issues while on a flexi & I'd like to keep it that way. And I really don't take her on too many walks anyway. Duchess stays on a regular 4 or 6 ft lead.

Get a Martingale or Half Check collar and a 6 to 9 foot standard leed then head off to classes for training.
Here are some of the collars and leashes I make http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.4215928630487.171389.1053233983&type=3
I stopped making choke/Slips and only make Martingale now.
