The Indy Saga

2 years ago I had a temperament change with Indy, so bad so I brought in a professional trainer for a consult, he said I either need to get rid of her or put her down,..Her temperament was not of the same dog I brought home, she started fearing car rides, strangers , would get really really nervous when people would come to visit, mostly men and wanted to kill other dogs, I knew there was a problem when she wanted to kill Norman when I brought him home ...he was only 8 weeks old..(She still wants to kill him but now he earns it ) lol..I had her spayed instead, I wasn't giving up on her..after a couple of months she could be with Norman, she still had the other problem and still got quite snarky with Norman, After some research and thinking back it seemed to have started after her rabies vaccine I read about an herb called Lyssin, so I took a chance, It couldn't hurt and if it helped that's great, I gave her a dose about 4 or 5 days ago and you are supposed to repeat in 2 weeks, Today it has proved to be working, still wants to kill Norman lol (don't blame her there he's an ass)

But 3 men came to the house, my son-in-law who she is familiar with but never went out of her way to socialize with him, my nephew and one of their friends who she has never met..
She greeted them and even wagged her tail and went out of her way to get loved on, I never thought I would see the day that she was once again comfortable with strangers.
Im going to wait until after her second dose before we go on a test ride in the truck but things are looking hopeful. and I hope it work for her sake and her sanity

there was a couple other things she would do,

she got very itchy all of the sudden , so I had a skin scraping done (Nothing)

She would hide her face under a blanket and hide in a dark bedroom

of course I had her thyroid checked (It was normal)

she did have some hormonal issues that's why I had her spayed..she was very PMSy and would have false pre

Thank you for not listening to the dip sh*t that told you to put her down. That is awesome that you are seeing positive progress, congrats on your determination! She is a beautiful girl!

Great catch on narrowing it to a vaccine reaction.... and finding something that appears to be working.
The more I read about (and experiment with) homeopathy, the more amazed I am.

Yea!!

I am so happy to hear of your success with Lyssin-- it is a well-known detox from vaccines (esp. rabies.) I have used it as well, just as a precaution. Vaccines are no joke, and many, many dogs are sensitive to the active (or inactive) ingredients, so her symptoms don't surprise me at all.

I pressured my vet to get the thimerisol-free vaccine last time I had to get the dreaded rabies for Mateo---who needs extra mercury injected into their body?!

Keep us posted; I hope she continues to do well.
