Anyone feeding TOTW to their Corso? If so which formula or do you rotate proteins? I've always rotated proteins for my dogs and cats.

L Meaux, the forum isn't very busy on the weekends. Sometimes it takes days to get a reply. Many dogs have a sensitivity to chicken in dog food, so I'd stay away from that. I don't know how old your dogs is. Do you think he's still growing? If so, then you need to make sure the food has the appropriate calcium to phosphorus ratios for a giant breed. I have no problem rotating protein sources, as long as there appears to be no sensitivities.

She's about 15 months old but I do not believe she is growing anymore. She is a rescue and I've had her for 5 months and she hasn't changed any in size. I'm trying to get rid of the excess has issue she's had since I got her. I've tried several brands and proteins but nothing has proven to be better yet. I had read about the chicken issue so I planned to stay away from it.

Dog food (especially for large/giant breeds) can be a very controversial subject. Even among vets there does not seem to be any overall consesus, which makes it very difficult for the consumer. Our dog (EM) used to like TOTW, however, the size of the kibble was too small for him. Not so much the adult formulas, but the puppy formula kibble was way too small and he wouldn‘t properly chew it.

Late response here but I use Taste of the Wild High Prairie.
He is almost 4 now and about 130 lbs. He is fed twice a day, only dry food and it's not a ton of food. He is actually lean for his size.
I originally switched to it from Pro Plan which is what the breeder used and his stool was inconsistent. Problem went away after the switch.
I'd recommend it.

I recently had to switch to totw because the food we mixed with was discontinued. This is the third or fourth food we were happily using that was discontinued and finding a brand that has an chicken free options is all but impossible. We also use Canidae Salmon limited ingredients but it is too rich for Diesel when used alone so we have always used a second food mixed with it (also chicken free) and that has always made a difference. We just started with totw (the fish one with no chicken) as our secondary food so I don't have any feedback as to whether this one is the answer but no issues with it so far.

We use the bison totw. Yellow bag. Ruger eats it dry usually but we eat steaks often and I mix in the fat with his kibble and then he holds out thinking he's going to get it next meal. All in all he likes it. Never had skin issues so that's nice.
