Switching from Puppy food to Adult food?

Don’t switch until a year old. And a that point you’ll want to mix adult and puppy food until you get her there 100%.

We don't feed puppy food, we feed adult or ALS as long as the calcium and phosphorus content is correct for a growing pup. Puppy food can have a lot of extra fat and calcium that growing puppies, especially large breeds don't need.

I agree with everyone else. I do all life stages with appropriate calcium to phosphorus ratio. I like to keep my ratios as close to 1-1.5% calcium and .08-1% phosphorous as possible.

i'm not offering a recommendation either way , but i assure you there is science behind large breed puppy foods , actually the same science everyone uses to judge other foods on ...... i can't speak on the newer foods like orijen , earthborn , merrick , i've seen some that seem to not follow the science , why i don't know , perhaps those are just marketing , dog food has become ultra competitive , and no one is actually going to base their opinions on anything more than how they feel about it , i can't imagine many folks are basing their opinions on orthopedic results ....... i am certain the older large breed puppy foods do adhere to the science , if you compare orijen , earthborn or merrick all life stages to eukanuba , diamond or purina large breed puppy , or any of the established older large breed puppy foods , you'll find the large breed puppy foods are lower in kcal per cup , the calcium phosphorus ratio is correct and they are lower in fat .......

You make a good point. Sure, if you're using a food that adheres to the proper ratios then you're good. Many of the large breed puppy foods do. That doesn't mean they all do. Since we don't know what food the OP is using right now it seems best to provide them with more information.

Here's our practical answer: we planned to switch at 1 year but, when eating, our EM launched the small puppy food pieces all over the kitchen. So, at 9 months we switched to larger kiblet adult food. He's happy to eat anything and everything!

I am feeding her Nautures Domain Puppy... will be switching her to the Natures domain adult very soon

I feed Nature's Domain. If I remember correctly, the salmon formula is appropriate, not sure about the others. I never looked at the puppy formula because it was easier to buy one food for all the dogs. My EM girl has trouble with poultry products in foods, and the turkey doesn't work for us. I do switch up the salmon and the beef for variety with no problem.
