Sweater Weather

So we had a few rainy days over here which means muddy floors and sweaters and jackets for everyone!
Don't judge me too harshly for the mud or the clothes. ;-)

I have about a billion initial photos of the pups in their winter attire but I have't gone through them all yet. But here are two that I particularly liked to give you a taste. I will have to post more later because I absolutely adore them in their winter outfits.


And yes they are both in plaid (Kahlua has a few other sweaters/jackets which you will ultimately also see photos of I am sure.

Al wears clothes all the time. He's so skinny that he freezes without them. I like the design and fit of Kahlua's. Where did you get it?

I got them from PetCo online. They were on clearance and I also got free shipping. Lucky me!

Jiggers has a winter coat and boots because below -10C he starts to shiver. Kryten loves the cold.

The strings are because his paws are the same size as his legs and I got tired of him losing them.

Denna thinks anything over 65F is HOT... and I don't think I've ever seen her shiver... maybe she would if we're out in 33F drizzle without moving (i.e. football tailgate, late season)... we go more for rain-jackets than sweaters, around here, though.

Our last dog was thinner (Dane physique), and did get cold... so we got him a sweater, and it's his raincoat that Denna uses if she needs it too (although the fit is a bit more snug on her. HA!).

...oh... and that first picture with Kahlua in the hat, is PRICELESS!

Great winter weather clothing shots Smokeycat and DennasMom!

Smokeycat - The strings to keep the shoes on made me lol .... I almost got Kahlua some matching rain boots but I had no idea whatsoever how to figure out what size shoes she would need.

Dennasmom - Yes I would think that rain coats would be a must in WA, but brrrrr that looks cold. We have actually been discussing moving to Oregon and if we do that we will also be getting a lot of use out of the rain coats.

My dogs are Nor Cal wusses like myself. They don't like it too hot and they don't like it too cold. To be honest though I actually really like cold weather I just like to also super bundle up for it.

We do have rain coats as well (I found the most darling one ever for Kahlua... can't wait to use it)... not sure if Diesel still fits his rain coat though. The sweater is a little overly snug on him as well. I think he is getting fat. Sean keeps slipping both dogs extra food when I am not around. I keep telling him that overweight is not healthy for them but he always worries they are hungry and too skinny and I can always tell when he gives them an extra meal because the poops get super squashy. GRR

Thanks for the kind words about the pups. I think they are super adorable in their outfits and Diesel's smile always melts my heart. Sean teased me about that hat though. He said that it looks like she is wearing underwear on her head. I didn't see it until he said it and now all I see is underwear on her head. :-(

ROFL That is great! This may be TMI but he actually does have a pair of pink underwear I bought him one Christmas because I found it funny... and yes he does wear them. He says they are very comfortable. lmao

Okay I need something happy to think about today so I went through more of my sweater photos from the other day. And omg these pups of mine are just beyond adorable and have so much personality. I can't quite express how much love I have for this duo.

These were all taken on the same rainy day so yes there is dirt and mud everywhere. It has since been swept and mopped but I know as soon as it rains again it will all be back to this condition. lol

This next photo I love because of Diesel's expression. My boy has such an expressive face. I was bribing them with treats at the time to sit and pose and he was getting a tad impatient. He thought I was making them "wait" for far too long.


You might not realize it yet but Kahlua has developed quite the wardrobe. What can I say? I found clearance items that were so beyond ridiculously adorable I could not stop myself. So my little princess has adorable clothing for the cold weather. Here is a different sweater. I adore this one and I know with all that white it won't last long so I better get those photos while I still can.





I took this photo directly after getting that hat on her head. She was not at all happy about the hat. Sweaters are fine and dandy once they are on... but hats. Hats are not appreciated one bit.


and when grump face doesn't work I get the sad eyes...


Now this photo... The angle of Kahlua I found interesting. She looks sooooo tough, bullyish? idk There is just something about this angle that makes me pause.

When the pups get impatient on treat delivery they look like this.


Something in Kahlua's face here... She is giving me a most definite "look".



This photo I just love because they are both so alert with eyes right on me and they are side by side so I know one day I can look back at this to see how much smaller she used to be than him.
