SOS American Bull Dog

My son has put out an SOS. This is his boy Diesel. My son has found himself in a soon to be homeless situation. He lives in Scarborough Ontario. Housing is awful there. His having to move into a boarding house. He can’t take Diesel with him.
Right now the dog is at a friends home. But can’t stay there much longer. Diesel is a good boy... my son rescued this pup starving and abused... now at age 3 his in excellent health. Very well behaved. Diesel just wants to please. I can’t take him as he’s not fixed.
My son has allowed him to sire a couple litters. If anyone knows of any one wishing a mature well behaved 125lb boy please do point them my way. My email is sheilamortgages@gmail.com

What a terrible position to be in, Sheila. I'm so sorry. Any chance of neutering him before placement? That would weed out people that just wanted him for the money they could make from studding him. What about a breed rescue organization? Even an all breed rescue.

I emailed the rescue in his area. Right now if I could afford to pay for his surgery I would take him in a heart beat.

If you find yourself back in that bind I will pay for the neuter. I can help you out!

That‘s very nice of you, Deny!

In the same regard, I had an idea, but not sure if feasible: Among the "core users", we could establish an account that could be used for such emergencies. One of my previous employers allowed employees to donate $2.00 a month out of their paychecks and they would use the funds whenever somebody had an emergency (e.g. medical). Again, not sure if that‘s feasible or potentially against the forum rules. Just throwing the idea out there. I‘d personally be happy to contribute.

I think that is a pretty cool idea. I am very fortunate to have a huge support system in my life. They know what I do for the dogs. They always want to help. Not the hands on part :) but they are there when they have any needs financially. This way I am able to help those who are less fortunate. I'm in!
