Seizures

Hi Guys, This is not about Max. He is doing awesome. He has a little Sister named Honey. She is the latest arrival. She came from an awful situation. She is having seizures. I have had a couple of dogs that have had seizure's. The ones I am witnessing now is very different. It is an intense body twitch. From the top of her head to her paws on the left side of her body. I don't think she is in pain. It scares the daylights out of her. They last for hours. This last 1 my husband was home. I think his exact word were Holy S_ _ _. It is heart wrenching. She is beyond exhausted. Vet. say's the only thing she can do is put her on a seizure medication. NO not yet. I have transitioned her back to raw hoping that may help. She wasn't having these attack when she was eating Raw.
Does this sound familiar to any one. Max says thanks for helping his good friend.

Thanks much!

My only experience with "twitchy seizures" was our bulldog... I think he got kicked in the head before finding himself at the rescue we adopted him from...

I found that putting a stinky treat in front of his nose brought him right out of his "head tremors". He, too, looked very confused when his head started shaking uncontrollably. It was sad to watch, but they only lasted 5-10 minutes before I found the treat-trick, and could stop them as soon as I could grab a treat.

I've also heard a lot of people talk about the "miracle" of CBD oil for seizures... I've given Denna CBD oil (hemp-based) for her sore knee issues (CCL tear), but it just puts her to sleep... so, no experience from a seizure standpoint.

Hope you can find something that works!
