Ya that would be crazy karl hahahaha he is such a ham, yes there is a fence there, if there was no fence im sure my dogs would not stop chasing the deer, to much drive lol. The property goes up to almost just before the deer, we stopped the fence there cause it was to hard to put in posts in rock lol, the wooden structure up there is a deck and hot tub and it helps to sturdy the fence and block some of their view up the mountain.

Considering all training has been done off leash no collars just voice since they were born, they are doing ok, its a new experience for me i can tell you that and when i do take them out on leash they act like they have been on a leash their whole life with a built in heel lol. They are so smart they blow me away all the time with there ability to learn so quickly. The thing that makes me laugh is they are such nosey parkers hahahaha if im looking for something under the couch, so are they, if im looking at something with binoculars they are looking all around to see what im looking at, if i am looking out the window they are to, does anyone elses fila do this? Also if i say Look and point they look in the direction i point.

That's actually a trait which domesticated dogs developed as e result of centuries of unnatural selection by human selective breeding. Pretty amazing. The theory goes even further as to say that a dog bark itself is also an evolutionary trait developed to communicate with humans, wolves rarely bark...check out the book Inside of a Dog. Pretty amazing

I love to hear this. I hear so many people saying you can't have two males or two females or intact this and that........I am a believer if you do it right, you can have one big happy family regardless. I had Pit Bulls (several at a time) for many years and argued the whole "dog aggressive so they can't live together happily" thing. It is all in how you want it to be and the work that you are willing to put into it. Neither one of my boys are neutered and they live happily together. The difference with yours and the rest of the world is that they are your family...not just dogs and they have been treated as such and respond accordingly. What a great pack you have. Absolutely beautiful!
yes they all live in the house, no kennels no crates, all sleep in bed with me. My pack is more along the lines of a wolf pack as all have their place and all get along wonderfuly more so then a pack of unrelated. Meaning if i take one or 2 away with me in the van , when i return they great each other with mouth licking and submissive behaviour to the others that were left, no food aggression , never had a family pack before but i can tell you it is the best to have

Looking through your pics on photobucket, your dogs look so happy! So natural and in their element. Amazing pack.

One day I'll buy some land far away from the city, build a secure fence and start my own pack. I can't imagine how fun and fulfilling it must be to hike with these guys!
