Raw feeding a rescue

I have had Elly for two weeks now and when she first came to me she did not want to eat. We have gotten past that and now she is a great eater. She was pretty under weight so I have no problem giving her as much as she wants as long as it is healthy. She currently is getting 1.6 lbs am and pm.

Would it bee too much to give her a short pound at lunch time till she fills out a bit? She is pretty hard to resist. :) [emoji173]️️

I wouldn't have any problem giving extra as long as it agrees with her digestive tract , maybe a noon snack?

The rescue I got her from said to give her 4 pounds a day split between breakfast and dinner. That is what I've started along with the satin balls for treats. I've never had a dog this malnourished before. It will be interesting to see how long it takes her to fill out a bit. :)

If she tolerates the satin balls, I'd guess three weeks. I've never raw fed a malnourished dog before, however, so I'll be interested to see too. She's got a very sweet face. I'd fall in love with her easily.

I would think giving extra at lunch (versus making the other two meals bigger) would be a good way to go.
I'd be giving that face anything she asks for, too! :)
