Cindy, Mike, and TB44!!!!

I have lived at my current place for almost three months without incicdent. Yet just a few moments ago while on the way to the bathroom what do I see above my toilet???

An 8 legged black and yellow surprise. If thats the power of positive thinking of this forum then can it at least be about money!!! Or a new Job???? $h!t....

DD Not to sound gross or anything, but that might cause a case of constipation on my part! lol

Chuck I'd give those gators a hug and kiss, that spider I would piss on if I wasn't so afriad.

Mike I know what your talking about and no it wasn't those thank goodness....If it was I'd leave the home. Those give me nightmares seriously....bad dreams of them crawling over me...ugh. I call them zipper spiders. Because of the webs they make, make friend knows I"m terrified of them and she constantly teases me with them. She says if you see one it has something to do with the early sign of winter or fall.

Cindy I didn't even get a chance to go. I flipped my light switch and it was there just crawling on the wall. I threw a shoe at it and it fell. I used the other bathroom.

Mike, I love my dogs and would never want to see any harm come to them, but I also trust their instincts when it comes to the natural world. In the situation where my dog saved me from getting bit, I was working on a hot tub, laying down and the damn snake snuck up and was about 3' from me. I was getting mad at my husky cause she kept pushing me into the wall, when I stood up to give her a piece of my mind and a stern look I saw the snake and heard the rattle.

I then picked up the dog and had to hand her to my wife over the hot tub so the dog wouldn't get bit, then gently removed the snake from the porch. Neither the dog nor the snake where harmed...not a snake fan but I hate mice and rats even more so as long as they are not huge I won't kill them. That said if I see a monster rattler its gonna be supper time.

I'm, just saying I would rather me get the bite than the dog. I understand whats going on and can stay calm. The dog does not. I will be taking my dog to a Rattlesnake class this year.

Hey guys, thanks for the nightmares. I'll be sending a select few of you the bills for the therapy I'll be needing.

I respect that and your love for your dog is awesome but as much as I love my dog and would hate to see him get tagged his body is different than mine and way more resilient. Not to mention if I didn't make it to get help in time he couldn't feed my family.

I think it's awesome that your dog responded that way. But IMO, you got lucky. I dont want to assume Stella would react that way and then find myself 2 miles into a trail with a mastiff who just got bite by a rattler. I'll feel better knowing that Stella will avoid snakes.
