I love both of my dogs with all my heart and soul, but one of the things that really touches me about my EM is that he has the power within his body to be absolutely fierce and at the same time absolutely delicate and, yes, vulnerable with his family.

That these two qualities exist in the same soul touches a place deep in my soul. <3

I know what you mean. Max will raise his hackles and growl deep from his toes if he thinks something is out there. He stiffens and is quiet/watchful when we encounter one particular guy. But, he'll put is nose up to our eye lashes for us to blink. I think he likes the tickle. He's very gentle when it comes to us giving butterfly kisses.
