Is just the one eye swelled? No other facial swelling? None of my dogs with food allergies have ever had facial swelling. Not saying it couldn't be the food, just that I've not had that happen with any of my guys. I'd first think possible bug bite since the rest of the face isn't showing any swelling. Has the eye swelling gone down today? The belly rash could also be the food or environmental. It's so tough to tell. Frustrating when you have a sensitive dog, isn't it? I'm sorry, but I forgot what food you switched to. Acana, I think, but what protein source is it? Any change in detergent or carpet treatments?

I don’t know about the eye but my girl had a lot of weird bumps and rashes on her belly as a puppy. It was always something harmless for us, just her playing too rough and bug bites from laying in the grass. I swear her belly looked like that every other week. I just kept it clean and kept an eye on it :)

So Diesel has food allergies, environmental allergies and he is allergic to bee stings. The only time I have seen his face swell was due to a bee sting. His belly rashes are typically related to environmental allergies since if we wash his belly immediately after he comes in after outside time it seems to make a big difference but his food allergies cause little bumps under the skin usually on his back or sides and redness between his toes... Also with all this heat we have had most our grass and weeds have died and his belly rash is now completely gone.

For food allergies we always avoid processed chicken, grains and beef. I don't know that he is allergic to beef but since I know it is a common one I just avoid it. I do know he is allergic to processed chicken and that one is so hard to avoid because the chicken fat is in so many foods with main protein sources that are other things. So obnoxious.

Thanks for all the answers!!!!
I dont think she is allergic to food.
Acnes might be due to our beach visit we did not wash her after too well.

Yes we were using Acana.
