You probably read about Trichinellosis, a parasite that is found in pigs and other mammals. It is recommended that you freeze pork for a few weeks to kill the parasite but in Ireland there has not been any recorded cases of trichinellosis since the late 60's and I believe its the same in the UK. This may not the case on the continent and possibly in the USA. However I do freeze all the raw meats and bone for my dog.
Freezing for a few weeks sounds a bit excessive. Is it completely necessary? Is it important to thaw the bones before giving them to her?

As regards freezing for a few weeks that is only in areas that have known cases of the parasite in pork but as I said pork from Ireland and the UK is free of this parasite. I freeze as I buy my meat every 2 weeks then portion up and freeze.
I have given frozen bones and she has no issue with them other than it taking longer for her to eat it than a thawed out bone !

It would be much appreciated thank you very much.
1st & 2nd pics pig foot, 3rd & 4th half 1.2kg chicken (you will see traces of liver and kidney still in carcass) 5th pic was this mornings meal 450g beef heart, small portion of beef liver and portion of meaty pork neck bone.
I also add a few spoons of kelp every now and then usually when I feed minced meat as it can be mixed in.
If you have any more Q's please ask.

How do I figure out the meal size? For a growing puppy? How much meat does she need to eat a day? And with the ratio of meat to bone to organs is every meal made up for that exact ratio by weight or does it just work itself out over time?

Since mixing kibble and raw is bad, is it just as bad to give meaty bones for my dog to chew on while she’s still eating kibble as her main diet? The bones are more so to occupy her as she finds countless things to chew up in the garden which she shouldn’t be. Do you worry about cleaning up where your dog has eaten the raw meat? Do you use any disinfectant or hose it down?

I use the calculation of 4% of her actual weight (guessing she is about 30kg now as have not got her weighed due to virus) so I am feeding 4% of 30kg that is equal to 1.2kg of raw food per day. There are some calculations that you can use the expected adult weight but for your girl being pressa mix (is there some sighthound in her too ?) maybe the % of her current weight calculator is best to use. 4% of 24kg now would be about 960g per day over 2 meals. Keep an eye on condition and increase / reduce as required.
Best to start with 1 protein source. I started with chicken wings and gradually introduced others over a couple of weeks.
I did move from 100% kibble to 50/50 before I went totally raw and it did not cause any problems that I am aware of ! I don't believe there is any issue giving a dog a bone to gnaw on while being fed kibble. I used bones as a tool when I started leaving her alone to stop any separation or destruction.
I don't get the power hose out to clean up after every meal but I make sure the area is clean and if needed will scrub with a little jeyes fluid.
FYI I am no expert but this the second dog I have fed raw to. You are always learning so keep an eye on your dogs condition and energy levels also her poo is a good indicator of how she is getting on with the raw diet.
Good luck.

I still have a 15kg bag of kibble to go through first and have a whole month to persuade my parents to feed her raw food. Thank you very much for all your help.

Is this helpful? I've never fed a puppy raw, but this has a calculator for that. Maybe run some things through and see what veteran raw feeders think of the result?
