Cane Corso- almost 1 year old (Oct. 23, 2016)

Hercules was re-homed by previous owner’s due to housing policies and I made a quick decision to adopt him. They pushed for me to take him the next day so I will honestly say I did not prepare myself well enough. Unfortunately, I do not have the means to provide him with the proper space. Not only that, but he deserves to go to experienced dog owners, particularly someone familiar with Cane Corso’s.

He has basic obedience skills, crate trained, house trained, good with cats and other dogs. Needs to work on growling at people who come up to my house.
I love him so much and have the time for him- I just don't see myself having the proper housing anytime in the next few years.

I am honestly very very very sad about this. I had done so much research and thought I was prepared but my apprehensiveness shows I am not. I want this to happen as fast as possible to that he doesn't become more attached to me than he already is. I really love this guy.

I was planning on having him neutered and he is starting training this week.
Located in San Diego. Will pay for all rehoming costs.

Do you know how he does with other dogs? Do you know how he is with cats? Children? Is he fixed? Up to date on shots? Do you have photos? I will share with anyone I know but the more info we have about the dog and photos the better chances for finding a new home.

Bummer!

I will say, most dogs will adapt to whatever housing their humans are required to live in... from cars, tents, apartments to houses or even farms... they are really very adaptable.
If there's no room for a dog bed on the floor, they are also quite happy to share your bed with you, too. :)

If he can't stay with you, I hope you find him a great place to land. So sorry you're both going through this stressful time. :(

Too bad you are on the opposite side of the country from one of our other new members who is seeking a new addition for his family...A Cane Corso...but....you couldn't be further from each other. Sorry.
