I feed my Mastiff Solid Gold brand food. He started on "Wolf Cub" which is what yours would need at 8 months. The person who developed the food spent a ton of time in the UK where giant breed dogs tend to live a few years longer than in the USA. The foods are all natural and contain the correct amounts of protein and fats to help your giant breed mastiff grow at the correct rate. If they get too big too fast it is terrible for their bones and joints and can cause terrible health problems. The wolf cub is mad of buffalo and salmon, and other natural ingredients. Gideon is allergic to wheat and soy and corn is something a dog cant digest. Almost every mass produced brand of dog food out there has corn, and most have soy and/or wheat. I highly recommend Solid Gold. Blue Buffalo and other foods like it are also good but I did a solid weeks research and settled on Solid Gold. As to what you shouldn't feed her...Anything in the kitchen or during people meals ever :) Mastiff's are food mongers and they will beg insistently..if you scold them and tell them to leave the kitchen or don't beg they will retreat to an area just far enough away and stare at you until you put the food away. You have a beautiful girl!
