Hello. I have question, i have a 3 month old boerboel female and she got some redness on her on her soft cushions i dont know the exact word, they walk on them. So i was wondering what could that be? If someone had some experience?

From the picture it doesn't look red. It may be she's walking more than the pads can handle and they are wearing thin meaning the skin is coming off and soon tissue will be exposed.

I'm with Hector - I think she's overdoing the walking on hard surfaces a bit and wearing her pads thin. As she grows, the pads should thicken up and she'll be fine. You might want to stick to dirt and grass paths for a few days though, to give the pads time to recover a bit.

You can also get her some boots if there aren't any good soft places to walk. AllDogBoots (.com) is a good place to get some inexpensive dog shooes. I like the "Meshies" that they sell. They're light weight, inexpensive, and stay on well.

Thanks for your answers. We went to the vet and she said that it must be the weather cold asphalt and salt which is everywhere. So she and few other vets that i spoke to said that it is likely because of the weather especially salt ,although she hasnt been to many times outside but she is jumping a lot and walking in the house so they must be wearing to fast as she is stll very young puppy, so they recomended me some creams for their paws. I bought one from dr.clauders and it is greasy with honey propolis inside so i will try with that and see if that will help. Thank you all

Can you post pictures? Maybe even before and after, in the case of the nose? I don't recall where you're located. Is it cold? Do you have snow?

Before was normal nose colour, we are in Zagreb Croatia and yes it is a bit cold from -3 to -6 during the day and nights are little bit colder. I dont know what could that be , she has normal behaviour eating well and all that and she never gives a hinch that her paws are hurting her. She runs like maniac on snow and ice that i need to carry her inside so she doesnt slip or something , but when she wants to run she will run no matter what surface is and will never show in any way that she is in pain or something, what do you think?IMAG3337.jpg
