He is a cutie! Are you aware of a Fila's temperament?

As far as food, are you talking about feeding raw or is this a kibble blend you have found? Either way I would get rid of the rice. Mastiffs can have problems with grain. Also, certain salmon carry a parasite that is deadly to dogs. You would need to make sure that the salmon you are sourcing is safe.

Yes I'm aware of the fila temperment..:)and the salmon and moose will be cooked.. So no rice.. Ok.. What would you all suggest for a home prepared diet.. Or is a good do food a better choice.. And yes it is my first fila.. But I've had many Great Danes and a blood hound or two:)

If you are not going to feed kibble I would feed raw, all meat. We have a whole section dedicated to the raw diet. If that is not for you I would find a good grain free kibble. A good balanced home cooked meal is too hard to get correct because you are cooking away most of the nutrients. JMHO.

Can you get a pic of him standing from the front and side? It could be the way he is sitting in the pic that makes them look bowed.

I didn't realize how hard it would be to get a picture with him standing from the front :) since he's just a ball of energy.. When he's standing :) lol.. But I've observed him standing running and walking and his paws point straight forward.. So I think that's good?

Some fila lines have what we call easty westy front, which means that their front feet point east and west, my male Steve walks and runs with straight front legs but he stands that way with his front feet pointing east and west, I think it is a minor fault in the show ring but doesn't impede his movement and you shouldn't worry about it lol

Thanks for the reassuring info mountainfila. :) he may be a little easty westy.. But it does not to seem to hamper any kind of movement so I will take your advice and not stress on it;) thanks again
