Not Dog Related - Exciting Little Brag - I might be in a magazine!

So my husband's birthday was this past weekend. As one of his gifts I planned a spring time themed photoshoot with a photographer.

The photographer did my make-up and all my costuming, etc and we did photos out in the Santa Cruz mountains here in California. It wasn't really risque or anything given that we were shooting out doors, just cute and whimsical and very fairy-taleish.

After seeing how the photos came out the photographer was so excited that she decided she is going to submit some of the photos for publication in a magazine. She has been published several times before but all of her other publications have been with real models. People much younger and much more photogenic than myself for certain. So, I am pretty excited that the photos she took of me were good enough that she thinks they might make it into the magazine.

Of course that also means I'm not suppose to share any of the photos online since the magazines want to be the first to have ever published any particular image....

So here I am waiting on pins and needles to see if my photos turn up in a magazine or not. But, still to even be considered for such is pretty exciting.

And most importantly of course... My husband loved his photo present.

Fair enough! I think I can share some of the ones from the looks that she isn't sending to the magazine. The ones that are under consideration by the magazine I can't share in public. But these others were also fun.

We did four different looks in the shoot. Below are some photos of the three looks she didn't choose to submit to the magazine. She liked the blue/purple look enough for submission but didn't feel she had enough different shots of that one.

Thanks Hector! They were a lot of fun to shoot. And I chose the location by the wall for the blue/purple outfit. We were shooting elsewhere and I noticed the wall with all the vines on it and suggested it might be a cool back drop and those were all the shots she ended up keeping from that look.

Once the magazine is published or not if the photos don't make it in I will share the others also.

Thanks!! the photographer also really liked the blue/purple shots including that one but she wanted to submit several in the hopes that they might get a full spread in the magazine rather than just one photo. So she went with a different outfit that she had taken many more shots of. And we just heard back that the magazine loved the photos she submitted and are going to include them in the next issue of their magazine. We don't know which exact ones of those submitted are being included yet or if it is a full spread etc. We won't know that until the layout is all done and then they notify the photographer if it is a spread, cover, etc. or just one photo inclusion etc. It is a monthly magazine so I shouldn't have long to wait. Once it is published I can share.

So they just announced all the photographers featured in the magazine and of course my photographer was mentioned but along with the announcement they revealed which photographer would have the cover art feature. And it was mine. So I thought to myself "Oh well she must have another model she also got into the magazine because she works with a lot of professional amazing models". So I asked her. And she said "Nope. You are the only one I have in this issue because they loved the photos so much they wanted to focus on the set.... So I'm trying not to get too excited because it seems unreal to me but .... there is a chance that not only am I in the magazine I might actually be on the cover. I guess I will find out at the beginning of June when the magazine is published.
