So I took the plunge, getting an EM puppy in a few weeks, deposit put down, just waiting til he’s 12 weeks then we bring him home. I have browsed here for a couple days. Lots of good info. We currently have a large breed Greater Swiss Mtn. Dog, and have had had large breeds before, but never an EM.

Welcome to the PACK. We will look forward to lots of pictures...we are all insanely addicted to puppy pics.

How does your other dog get along with dogs? I'm pretty sure your EM will outweigh and outsize him, but I'm unfamiliar with Swiss Mountain Dogs; However, EM's are, generally the largest dogs around. Get lots of pictures with them together...the changes will be amazing as your pup gets bigger.

At any rate, WELCOME.

The GSMD is good with other dogs as long as she can acclimate to them. She weighs about 110 pounds. Yeah it will be funny to see the rapid growth of the EM puppy along side our current dog.

Welcome! You will have lots of fun with your EM puppy! It can be stressful at times, but the rewarding experiences will outweigh the little frustrations a 1000 times.

If that's the EM pup you are holding in your pic, then he's a handsome boy. Congrats!
