My new pup just came home yesterday. He will be 3 months on the 16th. I have not found much info online about the breed. I received what I know about them from breeders, which I guess is best any way. I am experienced with dominant breeds, but this is my first mastiff. I am very excited to watch him grow and mature. Currently I am rotating raw and nature's domain kibble every other day or so. That is what I do with my other dogs and plan to do the same with my Corso. The raw consist of chicken frames, chicken trim, Pork shoulders, beef liver, beef trim, and Pork heart. I will introduce new proteins to him slowly. Would love to find more information on the breed. Always looking for more to read on them.

When I first got my pup, I ordered the Cane Corso (Comprehensive Owner's Guide) by Emily Bates and Juliette Cunliffe. It's impossible to find it NEW for a reasonable price, but if you set up some alerts on Amazon (or similar site) you can snag a used one.

Welcome aboard~ You've come to the right place for info on the CC. I will say that feeding raw and kibble can confuse the pup's digestive system and can cause digestive problems after a time.

Cane Corsos are the BEST dogs. Our beloved Angel, whom we adopted at 2 years old, passed away last Thanksgiving. We are blessed to have adopted Thumper, a puppy of the same coloring. Going through the puppy phase is a lot more challenging than we anticipated due to the biting and jumping instincts, but we've learned the ropes. If your mastiff seems to want rough play, take him to a dog park - as soon as he's had all his shots. Dog parks allow the dogs to exercise their play intincts with other dogs, which we've found to be so helpful. Our mastiff doesn't need to bite us any more - and it tires her out. Good luck and enjoy the love.

So far he has been a wonderful puppy. Since I've had him he has only had two accidents in the create. He is a goof ball. We decided to name him Gage.

welcome, if you are on FB there are a TON of pages dedicated to the breed. There used to be more forums, but most are now dead as FB is easier access. There are a few of us here as well, so ask away. They are a magnificent breed and easy to get hooked on.
