11 years ago I was at a vet clinic, transporting some APBT for a local rescue organization. I saw a young man walk in carrying a bullmastiff puppy. He walked up to the deak and askes "will you promise not to put her to sleep if I leave her here?" They told him to try the humane society. I went up and asked him what was going one, he said she was 12 weeks old , he had just bought her 2 weeka prior and his dad just died unexpectantly and he had to fly back to Italy right away. I made a split second decision and offered to take her. I went out to the car wirh him and he handed me her papers, hia signed contract from the breeders, a huge bag of puppy food and a huge bag of toys. She has been with us 11 years now, ahe has been the beat dog anyone could ask for. She has helpes me raise 3 human children. I could never make out the mans name from the contract...his signature was hard to read. I always wish I could contact him and let him know how much know she is alive and well and has lived a good well loved life!
