Weight Gain and size is primarly determined by genetics. The size of the Dogue will depend on the size of the dogues in his Genealogy. And the where he falls in the litter some of the dogs will be bigger then others from the same litter. Generaly you want your puppy to have a decent tuck from hip to first Rib in his body condition. I don't believe you can force growth on your puppy Via feeding, but you can keep them too fat adding stress on soft tissue ligaments and bones. My male grew extremely fast he was 105 pounds by 6 months then slowed at 1 year. at 11 months he was 128 lbs and now at 18 months he is 145. His mother is very large 157 lbs and his father barely 120 . i kept an eye on his body condition and removed puppy food at 6 months and too high quality all stages food. Body condition is the only thing you need to worry about . weight and size will come in growth spurts. He will grow and change as his genetics determine.
By 1 year he should have 80 to 85% of his total weight. they grow tall the first year and the second year will be body mass. but depending on his blood lines he could continue to mature until almost three, so i've been told by more then one person. he will go through temperament maturity as well when he sexually matures . so keep him socialized and confident with other dogs and strangers.
