Here is my girl right now at 3.5 months! I don't think she looks over weight?! What do you think? She is 36 lbs and 18/19 inches tall at back hip!1505394575600324491608.jpg 1505394655036368067757.jpg 1505394575600324491608.jpg 1505394655036368067757.jpg

Given her colouring makes it hard to see ribs I would go by feel. Just make sure that you can easily feel her ribs without having to use much pressure. My EM is that dark and my other dog has long hair so that is how I keep track for them. The cats too come to think of it as 2 have long hair and the 3rd is a non stop battle to get her smaller (the little piggy).

I agree with Smokeycat. It's really hard to tell from a picture with brindle dogs. She's a lovely girl.

You need to measure from ground to highest point of withers (shoulder blades), that is where measurements are taken from. I am not sure where you are located so haven't got a clue what standard is but ours can range 24-26 inches (give or take an inch) at maturity, and your girl is still really young to worry about height and maximum weight right now.
