My 2month old puppy queen

Hi good morning ppl I have an cane corso nd I've been trying to get her not to use the house as her bathroom so I would put her nose in it tell her that's a nono and to go in the bathroom on the paper. So I would feed her then put her straight in the bathroom she would cry for as long as u let her. So yesterday while me in my boyfriend left I took it upon myself to put her in the basement. Now this was around 6am I came back home around 2:30 to find queen hanging by her leg on the handle going down the stairs it had lookd as if she was walking on the landing nd maybe tried to turn around nd slipped but instead of falling down the stairs her leg got caught. I'm really scared nd nervous I don't have money to for to the vet nd I feel like queen is going to hate me she can not walk on it it's swollen extremely bad from her thigh to the foot. Can someone plz help us

What area of the world do you live in? How old is the pup? Rubbing their nose in a potty accident DOES NOT Help with potty training at all and usually will make it worse. What area of her leg is swollen, hip, thigh, ankle, foot?

don't ever leave your puppy un attending in an area they can harm themselves STAIRS are a NO NO for puppies!! i suggest you buy a crate and learn to use it. and take that puppy in to an emergency vet and set up a payment plan!!

Wow. Not even sure where to start....how about using a crate? Before you screw up and start asking for help you should first start by fixing yourself. You are better off teaching your dog to use the toilet.

Guys, if this is a serious post then I think we need to calm down a little. The pup is injured. Sounds like seriously. We can educate later, but I don't think chasing the OP away is going to help the puppy and the pup is really all I care about.

Queen? Where are you located? Maybe someone can direct you to a reasonable vet in your area or you can release her to someone that is able to get her the care she obviously needs.

honestly the person needs education just as much as the pup needs vet assistance ASAP hence me saying take that pup to an emergency vet. this person needs the hard truth not sugar coated. they put all that un neccisary garble ahead of the fact they had an injured pup and they are more concerned with the pup not liking them than taking them to a vet ASAP.

Thank you! Sometimes the truth hurts. Sure, I feel bad for the pup, but we can't do anything from here. If she wants to "run" because ppl are being honest then that's on her. I don't care about her feelings. I'm not in control of her feelings any more than I'm in control of her dog. It's a shame and I hope she has the sense to take it to the vet. And if she can't, she should take it to a shelter because she shouldn't be having a dog anyway if she can't care for it properly.

Saying I can't afford it is an excuse. If it's important to you you'll find a way. If it's not you'll find an excuse. She should already have a vet she takes it to for shots etc (assuming she's even done that). No vet is going to turn a dog in need of help away and yes, they will work out a payment plan. This isn't rocket science. This a a case of a poor owner, making poor decisions and a dog that is suffering because of it. No amount of sugar coating will change that.

You NEED TO BRING HER IN TO THE VET. That poor puppy.

Vets/assistants and doctors see things come in all the time and they have to bite their tongues until the animal/person/child is taken care of because alienating the owner will make them turn around and leave. The most important thing is the living being that is injured or sick. Education can come later, but if someone is attacked they are less likely to learn and most often won't even return to try to learn.

I haven't seen one "mean" thing said. No swearing. No name calling. Just simple facts. No one is getting "attacked."

Again, if their skin is that thik that they can't handle some constructive criticism/advice then that's on them.

A dog's been injured. Dog's are injured, abandoned, killed every day and no one says boo...sure, they may feel bad but the world keeps spinning.

The only thing that is going to help this dog is taking it to the vet. The only thing that is going to help this owner is if she takes the advice and criticism like adult and makes some changes. Running away or playing the "I've been attacked" victim role won't help her. And it won't help the dog.

To the OP - you have a DUTY and obligation to take that puppy to a veterinarian to have her leg looked at! I don't CARE that you don't have any money - you have said the puppy is "extremely swollen" so it HAS to be looked at to make sure it is not broken! Figure it out!

As to the housebreaking - you need to EDUCATE YOURSELF on proper housebreaking and puppy care! You do NOT rub her nose in it - that will teach her nothing! Read up on crate training...as she should also not have been left alone to her own devices to climb stairs. SMH... :(

Amen....and no, that's not "attacking"...that is common sense, advice....It's honest, no sugar coating and to the point.

Thank you!

Can't believe what I'm reading here. That poor puppy. I do hope it has gone to a vet!! If you can't treat your pup right 'rubbing nose in poo' don't get one!!

Op is obviously a young person with limited knowledge of mastiffs or large dogs.
This is the right place for her to come and ask questions so that she and her puppy can grow
Together and she can become the best puppy mom to her baby.

Please 1st try to determine the extent of the pups injuries, if at all possible get her to a vet asap.
There is a wealth of knowledge here in this forum and many posts to help with health and training.
Financial costs are part of the burden of dog ownership sometimes you have to sacrifice your own comfort
For the good of the pup.
You will be rewarded many times over.

At this point I almost wonder if this is some teen, left alone with the pup, the damage occurred, and they are trying to fix it before Mom comes home?

None of it jives with me at this time. More questions, than answers. I hope the pup is okay.

Can I just point out that the pup could of been hanging in this position for almost 9 hours? A very unsettling thought but I hope the pup has been taken to a vet.

I highly doubt it. This person PM'ed me this morning, and I actually fear for the pup at this point?
