I believe it is genetic & yes their parents were rescues & she was prego when rescued...
The parents were rescued from a small house & were living in 3 feet of shit....
My Boys never crated, they ate my couch in 10 mins of me going to store around corner LOL..
They get plenty of exercise, not too much just enough, most of apt is carpeted, fed raw both
the same & same amounts.
Environmental, is it something in this apt????? Weight, I have been able to keep them at what
they should be..... Him no guarantees, he wanted them big at 15 weeks, it don't work that way
dumb ass.......

Oh those poor dogs, their legs & paws but that was amazing changes with diet & wraps....
I love this forum, very nice if that would work with Midas, wraps & change of diet & turn it around
without surgery...

I talked to their Vet this morning.... She was concerned & wants Xrays done but also
agreed that get the insurance first cuz surgery is about 5 Grand..... She agreed with the supplements
but never heard of the Ester C being given..... But she wants him in as soon as possible.....
Said no exercise & keep the rough housing down...... I told her about the new surgery but she
did not know about it but said she will look in to it & see who around here does it.... They do screws
& take bone out & do braces & casts......

I explained the dysfunctional situation here & me leaving, him breeding them....
Said do not let him bully you & make sure you ask him tons of questions & make him answer you.....
Someone has to be an advocate for Midas & Max, that is going to have to be you, their VET.... She promised
she will make sure they are taken care of...... Sorry when it comes to my boyz, I'm a PITA...

Calling new VET out in boonies at 1:00.... See what she knows about Huge dogs, raw, etc.....
All I can do is give Mr. Miserable the info & pray he does right by my Boyzzzzz....... I wish someone
would just steal these dogs & give them a good home....

I agree it is disgusting...... I brought them home as pets not studs.....
Should have known better but he was going to get them with or without
me.... At least i gave them a great start.... I can't keep banging me head
on the wall.... I've done & stayed longer than i should have because of
midas & max..... They are amazing english mastiff's... So much personality...

Just take them with you when you leave. He may not even notice they're gone. He's got no papers on them..maybe he can't prove they're his.

Oh he will notice & this is not about them, this is about hurting me...
he gets great enjoyment out of it....They are micro chipped but my name &
cellie nummie is in computer if they get lost along with his also....
His name is primary at the VET's even though I went to
every visit, shot weigh in etc.... & was the one who called when they were/are
sick..... I asked all the questions at visits..... I held them for shots or held heads
so they could check for ear infection, which he didn't even know they had.....

Does he have any real proof they're his? Did he write a check for them that he could produce a copy of? Are they registered with the county under his name? Just wondering if he'd have any way to prove that they are his, not yours. I'm guessing the vets would lead credibility to the argument you own them since he's never really showed his face there.

Not only all of the above ^^^ ...but if you're the one that has paid for all of their care I would tell him he can pay you for every dime you've spent on them, or he can give them to you.

Threaten to take him to small claims court if necessary.

No he paid cash... & the rescuer told me he ripped him off... His son showed us M&M
and I talked to owner a few weeks back to ask some questions about parents. I said
I'm sorry I did not know he did that with the price but the guy was nice to me &
answered my questions.....
They are registered with their dog tags with his name, is that what you mean????
Oh he went to vet visits, just to see how much weight they gained.... Just stood in exam room not
saying a word cuz he knows nothing about them.... & again he doesn't care, it's all about how
big they are....

I bought all the OH so expensive kibbles that shot out of their butts & then I switched them over to
RAW organic from a farmer but he started buying from his buddy who owns a Restie, I was not happy...
So yes he buys them meat but I also buy & make their treats & I buy make their nightly stew.... He
says he spends $600 but I know I spend at least $300 on their treats & stews I make... Oh I was
getting better quality meat & cheaper from farmer......

He pays for vet bills but up until now that really hasn't been that much for two EM's
which surprises me...... DDB you have no idea who I am dealing with, the only thing
that matters is money to him.... & I did not keep receipts, not for food, leashes,
harnesses toys OMG forgot TOYS.....

This is not a nice person we are talking about here.... This is a mean vindictive
no way in hell will he let me take or keep M&M.... Even though he has no time
patience or knowledge of how to raise them properly....... He will bring a wanna
be trainer in (cuz he's cheap) & all I see are sad depressed & fearful Mastiff's.....
& a fearful Mastiff is something to BE FEARED, they are unpredictable..... This is mute
it is never going to happen that I get to keep my boyz, I've reconciled myself
to that fact.... This is about Midas & getting him the best care that he needs
to live a life without pain & suffering.......

I would just take a rough estimate.

You can always go to PetSmart online or the actual store and do some comparison pricing as far as toys, leashes, collars, etc. And guesstimate what you've spent on food and other miscellaneous items.

If money is that important to him, the threat to take him to small claims court might do the trick once you show him what you've spent on them.

You can usually also get a free or relatively cheap attorney consultation - I'd talk to an attorney to see what kind of rights you have regarding the dogs and/or the money you've spent on them.

If you can hit him in the pocket book, he might just give in.

Even if I won, he would just give me the money, not happily granted (that would be funny)....
But never my boyzzzzz, he hates how they love me & how they respect me.....
Respect is earned, Honesty appreciated, Trust is gained, Loyalty returned....

I really feel for you. I was in an abusive relationship and I did you one step better, I had a kid with him. Luckily I had enough proof and he lost all rights and I have not seen him in 10 years. I hope one day you can find peace. I am not sure what advice to give. Part of me wants to say fight for the dogs. I think if you don't fight for them you have to decide to give them up 100%. Otherwise he has a hold over you.

Haven't seen his tag name "Barkus" which by the way is what he called me.....
I really don't care anymore voidecho, at this point.... All I care about is
that Midas gets what he needs.... This is my forum he was just trolling on
here, he has nadda to say cuz he knows nadda about EM's or the Neo he
had & sold because of he was afraid he was going to knock his handicapped
daughter over..... What does he think is going to happen with Midas & Max??
He has only brought her around them 4 times & the last time he told me, she
didn't like them...... She is 14 threw herself on the ground, now picture huge
guy with two huge mastiff's & a handicapped daughter on the ground.... He
was pissed..... Again I told him, he has to bring her around so I can teach
them to stay out of her face (they like to lick) & boundaries with her......
That she goes first, like they do with me.... This is a disaster waiting to
happen.... Cuz if they are destructive or do knock her down..... He will
beat them.... I just pray their pact mentality kicks in & they tear him a
new one.....

Thx TheLady & I have no choice but to give them up 100%..... Because this is
what will happen.... He won't answer my text or cell calls to see them until it is
self serving to him, ie he is going to Florida or on weekends when it is inconvenient
& no time for the dogs but it won't be consistent & will only be confusing & hurt
the boyz..... I won't do that to them.... This is going to be devastating to them
when I leave, once is enough... Let it be like I died or something like that....
