I wanna throw up, just told Mr. Miserable....... Not one question, do you want to see
Midas & see what I'm talking about "NO"..... He hasn't had any real contact with them
in about 2 weeks.... Told him to get insurance today, there is a waiting
period & longer ya let this go worse it gets..... Just a 'BLANK STARE" OMG these poor
dogs... Gave him list of supplements & in my mind I had punched him in the head 10 times
by the time I turned around & walked away...... So angry & sad :(

That was just so hard for the boyz!!!! Let them out in small yard but they kept coming back in
for me, wanting to go play frizbee & soccer.... Both had their toys in their mouths, aww fav time
of day for both of us......

So I took them out to junk yard (that's what I call it LOL) any who we walked the area & played tag
team Mom with a stick...... They need stimulation, a bored EM is not a good thing....
I took video's of Midas walking, waiting for them to go to my email so I can
upload them here....... You can really see the paws jutting outward in video's......

It is private, so it won't show up for anyone other than you.

I think Care Credit is a good thing to have in case of medical emergnecies, you or the dogs. It is a credit card that gives you a term of no interest. I had LASIK and had 2 years to pay it off. I keep it in case I want a boob job or in case one of the 4 leggers gets sick.

need one, bigger than mine LMAO.....

Well I was so pissed off this morning had to vent so I did it on my FB page.....
A friend has a VET out near were I am moving to.... She said her dog needed
surgery & Shaker Vet was going to charge her $5000 she drove 40 mins from her
house & only had to pay $500 for surgery.... She has 3 dogs, not giants but
costs a lot to VET them.... Calling the woman VET today, doesn't open till 1:00.
Need to see if she knows about RAW feeding & Large breed... But being a country
VET I would imagine she has seen her fair share of large animals LOL horsies, moo moo's
etc........ Praying this is an easy fix & Max doesn't carry this genetic defect too...
Only time will tell & if Mr. Miserable pays attention.....

what an interesting thread. my akita has the opposite problem, he is pigeon toed, his back left foot is turned in. its never caused him any problems or bothered him in any way so i have never done anything about it, but this has been an interesting read.

I vaugely recall someone else with the a dog with the same problem having to cut protein and calcium? I think they fed raw too.....

Is it possible its a diet problem? In theory yes, but if you're feeding the right percentages of everything then its not likely. Theres some thought that theres a genetic component, but I'm not sure they know for sure.

Ruth that was me. Stone has the same problem but FAR worse than this. Almost to the point his entire front leg turns out. Its affected his gait and completely destroyed his body to compensate. It seems to be getting "better" the older he gets. I tried wrapping along with the supplements but that seemed to make things worse. So I'm just letting nature take its course. He can run, walk with no obvious signs of pain, but you can tell he's "off" especially when walking.

OP your dog has a weak pastern ( wrists part) of the dog. While most dogs grow out of the phase during puppy stages some do not. The breeders and exhibitors recommend vitamin C, MSM or magnesium. Also exercise on sand ( better), loose gravel, or cobblestone. Would also help strengthen the muscles in your boy's leg. Swimming is also highly recommended.

Since you brought your boys from I'm going to assume a BYB there could be a genetic defect causing the issue, if you rule out environmental, flat surfaces, excessive crating etc. None of Stone's siblings has the issue that Stone has. I've been offered to do x-rays for $500-$600 which I declined. As I stated he's only 13 months a lot can change.
