I fell in love with this dog 2 months ago. His temperament and demeanor made me want him so bad. last week I finally gave into the pull and got him. He turned 4 months old on Monday, weighs about 33 pounds. I did a lot of research on the breed before doing so, but it was THIS specific dog for me, not his breed. I doubt he is even that close to any breed standards, etc, or he probably would not have been in a pet store. In the last week he has nothing but endear himself to me even more! I am hoping you guys can help me with any issues that arise. He starts training tomorrow, but can already sit for me and is down to 1 accident or so a day, and most of them have been my fault.

We went to puppy school on Saturday and he did great! The trainer agreed with me that his temperment is wonderful. He said he is happy go lucky without the hyper, which is rare.


He did great all weekend, ZERO accidents. Then this morning he pooped immediately in the kitchen after he ate, so I learned 2 important things. Try to get him to poop before and close the cage door. I had just run upstairs to brush my hair after I fed him and came down to take him out and I smelled it. We are on day 9 of potty training, so I think we are doing well.

We are working on come, he already has sit about 100% of the time. My husband and I are going on vacation in a month, so he is going to go to the trainer for that time.

Menace got weighed. On 3/27 at just over 4 months (130 days), he weighed 36.4 pounds. He gained about 3 pounds in 12 days. Not too bad. I still think he is on the small side.

Menace, is a great name. He also looks very much like my Leo in the pics you posted. So obviously he is one of the best looking pups I have ever seen.
