I guess shotguns trumps dogs and children. Mossberg 500 12G 00buck, and 1 with steel pachinko balls in it.

Leo is an EM and he loves kids. Which is good since we have a 4 yr old son and a 9 yr old daughter. We have lots of kids running through the yard and house.

I never really cared for Mossberg but I did buy two of then this year. Thanks AB I don't feel so bad now. Lilah hates little people just as much as the big ones.

My daughter is 11 yrs old i don't think can be considered small anymore (she's 5'2") so Greta was never around her when she was little. On the other hand, my niece is 2 yrs old and my ex girlfriend has 2 little ones. As for Greta's behavior it seems to vary depending on the situation. At home, she is extremely sweet and tries very hard to be gentle with my niece and my ex's little ones she was very good with too. Just gave'em kisses, only issue that ever arose was if something spooked Greta she tried to bolt and knocked over my niece unintentionally. Greta will usually bark and put up a big show for anyone that comes into the door at first, basically just sounding the alarm nothing crazy. If i'm out in public, let's say walking her or in the store is usually fine with children but she wants to come up to them not the other way around. She doesn't really tolerate any stranger just walking up to me without being invited. Once I give the "ok" to be friends she perks up and starts her butt wiggle and will go up to them. She likes children quite a bit and has never been aggressive towards them. 1 out of every 3 walks i usually have some kids that get curious and will come up, she will usually bark a bit and growl and i just tell them she's friendly but let her come to you. I have them hold out their hand in a non threatening manner and she'll go right up and lick'em. They usually go "ewww" and start petting her and she loves it. The key is and always has been strangers are warned to keep their distance until Daddy says its ok.

luna is great with children. I have a 12 year old and a 7 year old. My youngest is actually the boss and she listens to everything she says! The only thing i have to watch out for is when she gets really excited to see kids at school pick up because she wiggles so much and presses her body against them she may knock them down because of her size. She has never been around toddlers so Im not sure how she would be. As far as guns go, i grew up with seasonal hunters so a shot gun does the trick at the door at night! We dont have any guns in my house because I pretty sure my husband would blow his foot off !!:p
