Named my CC Trinity shortly after rescuing her- Vixen just wasn't doing it.

The rottie I had for thirteen years was named Kashmir. Beautiful sounding name for beautiful dogs.

We decided on the name................."Bear!!"

Although my one year old insists on calling him Rio, we might have to work around that.:partyguy:

We went with Greek God names on ours with meanings like protection, strength, agility, speed, etc. Now we are trying to find names for the pups.

My boy is Raistlin. Wanted something different so hubby & I picked a favorite character from a fantasy series we both enjoyed. But now that we've had him for a while we've agreed his name should have been Molasses! He moves in his own sweet time!

That's totally from the Dragonlance series, isn't it!

I loved Zero (Jack's dog in Nightmare Before Christmas) but my wife wouldn't go for it. :(

If we get a dark Brindle Mastiff in the future I want to name him Partagas after my favorite cigar which has dark brown and black colors.

I named my pup Mira. She probably thinks her name is Baby, though. =) If she had been male, I seriously considered Metaphor, but that was just because I really wanted to be able to say, "Bad Metaphor!" (My Bachelor's is in English.) It wasn't until after I named her I found out that Mira means "Look" in Spanish. I think that's appropriate for a dog you're not going to be able to miss!

Our current pup is Cruiser of DRT Farm. My husband makes his living restoring old Toyota Land Cruisers in a shop on our property and live on a horse farm.

My last OEM was Little Buddy Touw. Buddy was named after a friend that was killed in action in Iraq. Our friend, Lester "Buddy" O'Kinney had a personality that matched our Buddy's, they were both big, goofy, smart, loveable men! Unfortunately like our friend, our Buddy died at a young age. We have not gotten over either death.

Before Buddy we had Czec Rotti titled Mikalospangelyo ZZorrba. We tried all sorts of nicknames with him but a friend's two year picked the name that stuck. Her fav film was 101 dalmations and her fav pup in the film was Roly Poly. It was the pup that had such a big stomach he would get stuck on his back and couldn't roll over. Desi would sing his name over and over and like the pup in the film our Rollie would get stuck on his back and she would roll him over. After a while he would only come when you called Rollie. Before Buddy we had Lasco, he was a playful, beautiful male german shepherd we adopted while in Austria, I can't spell his title out without looking at his pedigree, his surname was Jewish, I think the full thing was Lasco Von Der Zaberhauf.

Our first EM was named Jezebel or Jessie for short. With our new pup we decided a big regal name would be more suitable. So we came to Duchess. We had thought about naming her Isabelle but that was too close to our first EM's name. We have also not gotten over her death.
