Do you have any updates?

Hi Hector, sorry didn't see your question. Yes,Al Capone has improved,he is less scared of noises and cars, trucks, motorcycles. Now he sits every time we're crossing streets at the first command, sometimes even sits just when I stop walking. Once one of the dogs he has confronted without fighting crosses street after us barking,Al Capone turned his head and saw the dog,the other dog stopped walking,I commanded Al Capone sit and he did at once,no barking, anything and we crossed street and went to the work.
Now other story. I took Al Capone for a walk yesterday morning being at home. A close neighbor always has his Chow- Chow outside and unleashed. W.e have found that dog many times and he w.as friendly.
Yesterday I was talking to the neighbor at his porch outside his home. His dog came back from his alone walk and attacked Al Capone, they started fighting, the neighbor stood still and I pull Al Capone and kicked the dog on his face, didn't care and he went for Al Capone from other side,I got stacked with Al Capone leash and when he pulled I was on my back on the street. The dogs keep fighting, that didn't give much freedom to Al Capone but he managed to put the Chow-Chow in his place,I got up and the fighting stopped by itself.
My neighbor said what happened? I go your dog attacked mine and he said that's true but when? We left for the walk. They didn't make harm to anyone
Sorry too long this

The neighbor is dumb enough to ask WHY??? A strange dog is on his territory, at his house, a normal dog with territorial instincts would fight and if they don't fight, they'd be pretty loud and pissed off. Sorry, this happened to you and your dog. He did a good job. I hope this won't cause any problems with Al Capone and other dogs or the chow on your walks. Things were going so well...

Oh and it's good al capone didn't bite you. Sometimes dogs go crazy in a fight and can't control themselves and start biting their owners too lol.

Yes it's true. At the afternoon y met the neighbor again and he told me that he did nothing because when he tried to stop his dog,he turned his head and tried to bite him.
Thank you very much Hector,I also hope that incident won't bother Al Capone with other dogs

Chow-Chows are territorial assholes. They are not very accepting of any dog or person in their territory. The first time the chow walked by without incident you weren't in his yard? When he came back you were and then a fight happened.
Sounds like you and al capone are making good progress with the walks and such. It's normal for doggies to be scared of things when they are growing up. Especially if they make weird noises and things. It's a matter of being exposed to them and working with them to overcome their fear. I think you are doing a good job, as good as the circumstances allow. Sounds like it's a good thing you have a big dog that can defend himself. If you had gotten a chihuahua instead he prob would have been lunch 3 or 4 times by now lol.
It seems like there are a lot of irresponsible dog owners where you live. Is there like a dog catcher?? Some new people moved in next door and they are city people. I can smell city people a mile away and pick them out of crowd. They bought all sorts of goats and a pig and turkeys and 3-4 dogs outside and even 1 or 2 inside dogs... Their dogs get out of their fence all the time. I would go out and catch them and put them back in their yard and shut their gate. When they were home and they got out I would go knock on the door and tell them your dogs are out. After a few times of trying to be nice and diplomatic, I just started calling animal control and filing complaints. After animal control picked up two of their dogs on an occasion where someone else must have called or they were just patrolling, I haven't seen them out of the yard anymore lol. I've never seen these people allow the dogs inside, teach them anything, walk them, play with them nothing. They treat the goats better. Some people just shouldn't own dogs. Some people should stay in the damn city and have pet turtles...

Thanks man,yes Al Capone is making progress with the walks. It helps me a lot Hector's and yours advice. Right we were not in the Chow's territory when we met him several times before. I was mistaken thinking he was a nice dog,at his yard is something else.
We don't have a dog catcher or anything similar here. If you knock the owner's door,if he doesn't know you well ,he says live him there. That's for too many home's assaults around here . It has happened to me when I've tried to let them know their dog is outside.
Yes it 's nice to have a big dog,he can solve his fights,a little dog got knocked out. It happened to my friend 's B Terrier,a golden beaten up,had to take him to the vet. He is ok now.
How fast the dogs pick things up once they accepted to get trained. I'm surprised how Al Capone is learning things that I thought were much more difficult for him.
At home no that many people take care of their dogs,no like in USA.

Well in the U.S.A. everyone is so worried about what everyone else is doing instead of minding their own business. So they make laws and start extensions of the police so that they can basically control people and every aspect of their lives. But some of it's good, some of it's shit. Neither one way is wrong or right. It's just different.
