Lost my companions

Hi, I am a new member of your forum. And I was the proud owner of 3 English Mastiffs that I have lost all within the last 8 months and I am LOST without them...
I am afraid to look at a replacement because the pain is still sooo bad.

Welcome to the board, and I am so sorry to hear about your loss. Losing all 3 in such a short span I can understand the pain of looking for a replacement but you will know when the time is right for you.

Welcome! I truly sympathise, we lost two dogs this year within 7 weeks of each other, I know how you feel but we got Billie 2 months later. She's not a replacement for Charlie or Fred, I still mourn for both of them but what Billie does is bring some joy into our life as well. She's also a companion for Ben, the Bullmastiff. What I'm trying to say is a new dog, or dogs, doesn't have to be a replacement but they may bring happiness into your life and I know I wouldn't want to go through life with a dog shaped hole in it.

I am so sorry to hear about your loss. RIP to your sweet babies.
You will know when you are ready for another companion.

Thank you so much for a reply. I was hesitant to write being as PC illiterate as I am. I am so totally lost in a world with out them. As you can imagine, they were a BIG presence in my life. My first one was my girl Dutchess (185 lbs). My second was MY BOY Rocky (165 lbs) Then along comes puppy Sparkles at 310 lbs. I spend so much time just looking at other faces on the computer hoping to see THE one. Even though, I am so afraid of going thru that intence pain again..And you babe has a face like Rocky's...Thanks once again TTYL

I am soooo very sorry for your loss. I lost 2 of my sweet dogs on the same day, Sept 10, 2009 due to a tragic event. The pain is overwhelming. Losing 3 of your furbabies in such a short period of time is beyond difficult. My heart goes out to you. Take your time, you will know when you are ready for a new one. And no, he or she is no replacement for the ones you lost. Hang in there and welcome to the forum!
