Lanky?

Leo is my first Cane Corso. I am enjoying watching him grow and mature. In my head I guess I expected there to be a phase where he goes through a growth spurt and looks tall, thin, and clumsy. Somewhat like what I have seen from other large breeds (mostly danes), but I remember this phase with my lab too.
Leo seems to be much different. It seems like he is growing out and up at the same rate. I would say his height to weight proportion is probably about identical right now as it was at 8 weeks old. Is this what others have experienced? I'm not worried at all, more just wondering.

You are lucky! There are for a lot an "ugly" stage but again that is going to depend on the lines that are in your guy. Males seem to have this worse than females and my puppy from the last litter I tried not to look at him too much until he was over a year as I kept thinking... man you have got to go!

I figured when I posted this I would get responses saying, yup that's what Corsos are like. Maybe soon he will shoot up, and my post about him being proportional will be nul and void.

Parker went through a lanky phase, all legs, not the most attractive phase! lol Now that I think about it I don't remember Jax ever going through that phase. He was solid as a pup and stayed that way.

I got Neela when she was already a year and two months old, so I never really got to see if she had a lanky phase, but with Mojo I'll get to watch him grow, and if he has a lanky phase I hope it is a short one lol

Hank is going through a lanky, ungraceful stage at the moment. He's 5 months old now. I noticed last night his muscles are really starting to cut on his legs so I imagine by seven months he'll be passed it and packing on the lean muscle...
