Well I will need to check with my vet for more dates to fill in the gaps, but here is what I remember off the top of my head.
He is an EM, his father was 220, his mother 205. He was not the largest in his litter but not the smallest either. He is slow growing but i still anticipate him reaching 200 lbs.

8w- 18.5
10w- 23
12w- 32
19w- 58
26w- 78

Even though we didn't get Murphy as a Pup and missed the growing part. I did talk to his breeder and found out his Dad was 220 lbs and Mom was 165 lbs. When I told them Murph was 165 lbs they asked why so small.....They figure he got fixed to soon as his 8 sisters are his weight and his 6 brothers are 200 plus lbs. After talking with his vet I found out he was fixed at 18 months so I don't know if that was the issue. He at one point was 180 lbs when he was on raw food. I think he is PERFECT! So I don't know if going by parents weight is a good indicator. Correct me please if I am wrong

Going by the parents weight gives an estimate of what the puppy likely will weigh when full grown. However, not all puppies will follow that pattern. Some may become bigger while others are smaller than the estimate.

Murphy's litter is a perfect example. The females are about the same as mom while all the other males are close to dad. Murphy likely just missed getting dad's size gene.

Doesn't litter size play into it as well? I heard smaller litters mean bigger pups. Obviously that's not the case with Murphy's litter as he came from a large litter & it sounds like all the pups are a decent size. Duchess came from a litter of 8, one of the pups passed away shortly after birth so even though she's the runt I anticipate her to be about 125-130. But she could totally surprise me. I definitely think she's a slow grower too.

Maybe it does, but all of Murphys siblings are bigger then him. Then again Murphy is not fat at all. He is very fit. Some of his siblings could be built on the chubbier side.

The only records I have for his growth is his vet records. And that doesn't count for anything lol. Maybe I have to get a Puppy to play in this thread LMAO!!!! NOT A CHANCE

@raechiemay- we better stop before we wreck another thread together LOL

From what I've heard litter size has a greater effect in birth weight than it does adult weight.

You won't wreck the thread I'll just renew it next week anyway.

Its awesome seeing how puppies grow, especially monster puppies. My kids always say they wish we had Murphy as a puppy, so they could have seen him grow but don't regret adopting him as a big boy. I love the fact he came to us all trained LOL!!!!!!

Smokeycat you seem to be growing yourself a big one

Murphys measurements are all standard to breed so he is good and considering he thinks he is a shit shu lap dog his weight suits all of us fine especially my 10 yr old LMAO
