Kennel Cough

Hello all, I think Zeela may have kennel cough even though she had the bordetella vaccine. Maybe from the dog park, I never had a dog who had this before. Any advice or any experience with it, please share.

Hey i think its not kennel c. Its some kind of bacteria like a dog flue. my first boerboel got it out in the walks, so your zeela surely got it in the dog park. Go to the vet and see with him how to cure, as some dogs i know needed antibiotic and some didnt. Also there have been few deaths from that so it isnt all harmless. My dog had mild or very few simptoms so my vet decided that he is strong to overcome this without meds. I hope i helped a little, take care and let know us update.

It may well be kennel cough, which is bacterial. It's not uncommon for dogs to still get kennel cough even after having the vaccine. Usually antibiotics are give. Doxycycline, Clavamox, something like that. I'd put in a call to the vet and see what they say. Hope she's feeling better soon. That barking cough is just awful.

Thank you....my vet said that it should go away on its own so give it some time and she seems to be getting better, not hacking so much and has more energy. :)
