Kahlua helped me model my voting sticker

Yesterday after voting I had some happy play time with the pups before returning to work. Kahlua was more than happy to help me model my voting sticker.



Kahlua was also an angel last night as we watched the coverage with hearts in our throats. She seemed to instinctively just know I was stressed, upset, hurting and she made a big point of covering me in sloppy kisses and endlessly cuddled with me all night. Even Diesel came over to check on me every few minutes, sniffing my face, before returning to his "playing" ie destroying his toys.

These dogs of mine have such good hearts and so much love to share.

I'm glad your dogs were there to comfort you. We watched the election results up here in Canada also, you didn't have much of a choice when it came to the candidates. I try not to weigh in too much when it comes to politics, but the next 4 years will definitely be interesting for both countries, we both have leaders who we have no confidence in.

Thanks Jakesmum! Right now I am completely heart sick. Most of the women I work with also are. There were a lot of red post cry eyes in the office this morning. I am just counting the hours until I can go home and see my pups again.

Dogs make everything better.

We've been having beautiful fall (September-like) weather here in Seattle, and have been really good this week about getting out for some nice walks to enjoy the fresh air and nature... very good post-election therapy.

I would love to see WA in the fall. Fall is my absolutely favorite time of year. I bet that scenery is extremely therapeutic.

Dog therapy, wine and cleaning is my trifecta of stress release currently. I am a stress cleaner. I know it is weird but I can't sit still when I am stressed. I am not usually much of a drinker at all but my nerves are so shot over this that the only thing that seems to calm me to any degree is that combo.

you folks out there on the west coast can get some sleep , just relax . the republican party has been around for about 175yrs , officially formed in 1854 as the anti-slavery party ..... this guy isn't out there on an island by himself ..... usually we elect lawyers as politicians and presidents , most not even good lawyers .... they became politicians because they could make a better living off "public service" than being an ambulance chaser ....... once in awhile we've elected an economist like Ronald Reagan or Donald Trump , folks who actually made successful livings not off being "public servants" ......... i hire people for a living , hiring just folks you like doesn't work .......so rest easy . sorry about the first woman to run for president of a major party carried so much baggage that she couldn't beat a gameshow host with the media , the celebrities , the money ,and the entire the political machine behind her ....... if Condoleezza Rice would have run in any of the last 3 elections , you'd have had a 2 term woman president , and we wouldn't be 20trillion in debt ...... too bad she's too smart to expose herself to such dusgusting fear mongoring tactics that the left wing media dishes out ......... my condolences , from the real world ... nice dog

van jones said on cnn , trump won because of racism ? i personally have to agree with him . clinton was touted as an extension of obama's policy ...... the fact the black vote didn't turn out for clinton like they did obama was definitely based on race , had they turned out she'd have easily won .....the hispanic community at least turned out based on policy ........ all the liberal protesters over the last couple of days , their parents should send them to their rooms without their phones or lap tops , for a week ......then maybe we can get on to righting the ship .....
