It boggles my mind how my dog is like my shadow.

It just amazes me how Zeela does not leave my side, she's always watching me at home, whatever room I go in, she's right behind me. She doesn't even like to stay in the yard unless I am with her. Very unique breed.
It's like having a little human, I always say to her, you are not a dog....lol...

It was common on the Forum to refer to them as Kling-ons. There was another phrase too...what was it? I forget.

Music Deb used to always tell our Newbies that Mastiffs are meant to be with their humans and should be allowed to sleep in the same room...even the same bed. I agree. My girl will get up and reposition herself on the bed and I always reach out and touch her as she settles. And the best snuggles are when she flops down right against my back and we're head to head. I love it.

I love how they always want to be touching you....it's endearing and deeply satisfying. Mastiffs are just the Best!

Logan looks for me a lot too. He whines sometimes when I'm in my room. Our EM followed me everywhere. He was worse than the kids....

Try taking a bath with a 2 year old and an EM creeping in on you. I used to yell for my husband, " it's my time, come get the kids!"

Thanks all for sharing...this is my first time owning a Mastiff & as I am learning....wow, what a unique amazing breed. kind of makes me nervous, I never had children and I feel like I gave birth to a big black dog. lol... However, I love her being my shadow and my guard. ;)

Hey all, I am going to start this thread up again....because it still boggles my mind how Zeela does not leave me side or do anything without me. I've never had a dog like this before? is this normal for this breed? She won't go outside unless I take her out, she will do her business in the yard but once done waits for me, If I am in one room (like said before) she will be in the same room. If I am home, she will rest with one eye open, as soon as I move, she's upright & by my side. crazy....

Ruger even tries to give me a hand and lick me while I'm in the bath.... while I appreciate him wanting to clean me and care for me,I remind him to sit... I can handle it mr. Ruger.
